• Some people do creative work and get paid for it, other people save most of their creativity for time outside work. Neither path is wrong or more valid than the other.
• The social parts of the job - communication, kindness, organization, and empathy are just as important as raw skill.

Apparently she’s never met an adoptive parent or men involved in Scouting or Y-Tribes leadership, or good teachers. Cuz they all care about children who aren’t their biological lineage. What a weirdo.
There’s no substantive difference between the 3,000 year old story of David and Goliath and a modern superhero story. Heroic fights against evil oppressors are timeless. This isn’t new.
Jobs I had before starting my current 25 year career in computer graphics:
Convenience store cashier, hotel pool boy, fast food cook, telephone technician, carpenter, theater stage hand.
What kind of jealous weirdo thinks it’s a “gotcha” to point out that a person once had a different job?

Thanks for this..,I have several old electronics with the same problem. I can’t wait to see if this fixes them.
Next weekend in Ventura, CA - looks hella fun and for a good cause:
Typical production time for a Blondie film—including this one—was often under 3 weeks, which is extremely fast even by 1940s standards.

First of all, nobody who is as out of touch with the Democratic base as you should pretend to speak for a larger group. Secondly, maybe Harris should have campaign on that, instead of campaigning with a member of the family who was commonly associated with the christofascist movement for 20 years.
I voted for Harris. I thought she’d make a great president. But what got fascism elected was her misguided strategy, and the Democratic Party as a whole embracing centrism. That undeniably turned off many base voters. It’s just objective fact.
The election was in 2024 and Israel was absolutely becoming a huge issue with democratic voters then, especially younger ones. As was the fact that Harris campaigned more visibly with Republicans than progressives. Her strategy was terrible. But you’ve sworn off voting so who cares what you think?
For years I’ve been saying the same thing about Elon/Tesla. Nobody would buy one of his electric cars if there wasn’t the massive network of public roads and highways to drive on.
That’s how I felt at the Herogasm episode and checked out immediately. Totally lost interest when they dedicated an entire episode to a 15 year old’s fan fiction.
Fantastic movie, all based on the Camp Fire that destroyed Paradise, CA in 2018. I’ve studied hundreds of hours of cell phone and news footage of that fire for my work, and they really nailed the look and intensity of the fire and what it was like driving on those roads. The VFX got an Oscar nom.
Submitted for your consideration. It was canceled after 2 episodes, but I think it fits the bill.
When I played trombone mine was a Conn and I’m so disappointed by this news.
Katie Porter is right there and already running.

Back in the day people could write a script about a guy who just made a computer algorithm with fewer than 200 locations.
200 LOCATIONS!
Assuming a two hour movie, that’s a new location every 36 seconds LMFAO.
Get your tickets while you can. The nearby hotels are also getting sold out.
So the big studios are abandoning the US and turning the staff workers into contractors to get out paying for healthcare.
The United States is losing one of its defining industries because of not having universal healthcare and the people are going to be even more vulnerable to the industry.
It’s kind of crazy how much “tax incentives for major companies creates jobs!” when universal healthcare would also create jobs.
An excellent story about how TV development works in the real world:
In working on the no gen AI directory, I've looked at a LOT of artist portfolios. Like, 350+ of them at this point. And I thought I'd compile what I was seeing done right, what surprised me (positively), and then what I was commonly seeing done wrong. Use this to tweak your own portfolio!
Who knows what comes next - but I do know this:
Gene Roddenberry’s vision of a better future has inspired people for 60 years now, and will continue to do so long after all (waves hands) “this” is consigned to the dustbin of history.
Yeah, but that’s the production and post production crew, who, like all movie and TV crew, are already project hires.
