As a kid, I picked up a Prionus californicus and it bit me! #pain!
🤣🤣🤣
And they can bite! Typical cerambycid
Look at that attitude!
Great image!
And if it sneezes while you watch it, does that make it a pika-choo?
I’ll see myself out
Nice! Something I’ve noticed for many decades: Robber flies follow me when I hike. Maybe I stir up small insects that they attack?
They do squeak when you hold them, but that’s hard to photograph 😉
If you’re in coastal Southern California, check the flowers for caterpillars of sulphur butterflies. Most often Phoebis sennae, the cloudless sulphur, and Phoebis agarithe, the large orange sulphur
So many!!!
There are several good YT videos about making the switch. Will try to send you the name of a good channel

AOC is quite on point with this.
Alright I have a question for *all of you*, esp for those of you who are not into environment stuff.
When you think about planting native plants in the area you control, what *prevents* you from taking that action? These could be emotional, financial, practical, anything.
RTs appreciated here.
Totally! 🌊
Serious side-eye. Yep, that’s a wren!
Beautiful! I love bell peppers so much 🤤
Looks like you’ve been photo Bombused
When will the Ravi t-shirts be available?

Sweeet image, Janet!
A brown, wood-tone interpretive sign called Magnificent Migratory Monarchs. It explains monarch natural history and includes a diagram of their life cycle and map of their migration route. It also includes photos of different local milkweed species.
A large kiosk with three visible interpretive signs in a park on a sunny day. One sign is called Evolution of a River and tells the story of the Assiniboine River's course change since the last ice age. The other visible sign is called Below the Surface and shares information about the food web in the river.
A grey interpretive sign is mounted in front of a large brick church with a white steeple. The sign is titled Coming Together to Build a Community and shares the story in both English and French, the history of St. Jean Baptiste, Manitoba.
A blue and white interpretive sign surrounded by snow. It's titled the Wreck of the Suzanne E and tells the story of the worst nautical disaster on Lake Winnipeg in 1965.
Is your community or organization thinking about sharing your story through interpretive signs? Learn more about the process and how to do it well with a little bit of professional help in this free webinar that I'm hosting next week. - May 22, 2:00 pm CDT. 🎨 3common.com/event/680bc0...
