Quelle surprise.

Red Lobster: "Endless shrimp has driven us into bankruptcy."
Also Red Lobster: "We're bringing back endless shrimp!"
Agreed. I knew nothing about Weapons except that many friends recommended it. That was a good way to go into it.
This evening I watched Weapons and collated dice sets. A wild Saturday night indeed.
Here it is. From America’s Test Kitchen.
An absolutely baffling time to be an historian of apocalyptic thought. Like my man is just straight up doing Antichrist stuff and I am meant to be normal???
Our greyhound Selkie snoozing on her Snorlax bed.
Kate cleaned and restuffed Selkie’s favorite bed. Ole Snorlax had gotten pretty flat so the girl is enjoying it.
Oh, nice.
Quesabirria tacos success! It took four and a half hours all told and I got a little sloppy at the end but they tasted great and there’s lots of shredded beef leftover. @nikchick.bsky.social made a side of calabacitas to go with it.
We need to make room in the freezer so I’ve defrosted a chuck roast and am attempting quesabirria tacos. It already smells good.
Me too! What a great day that’d be.
Do eeet! They are still great live.

You had me at Borgnine. :)
My late-night viewing of late has been 1970s disaster movies. I can't imagine why. :) I don't recall if I saw any of these way back when. Death Flight and Disaster on the Coastliner were made for TV movies, so maybe. Good ensemble casts in some of them. You get Commander Adama, Q, and Captain Kirk!
I've been enjoying season 2 of Legacy: Age of Monsters. As more about the pasts of various characters was revealed, I wondered if Legacy would show what happened to Bill Randa. Turned out I had seen his fate in the movie Kong: Skull Island back in 2017 but that knowledge left my brain long ago.
Even truer today.
Athena for me. My first pet was a blue and white parakeet, and that’s what we named her. I saw this great statue of her in Rome a few years back.
Ross Thompson and I were guests on Brant Guillory's Mentioned in Dispatches podcast to talk about getting jobs in the game industry. It's hard out there right now but hopefully some of you will find the discussion useful.

Hey, does anyone know an expert on the mythological figure Maugris, aka Maugis d'Aigremont and Malagigi? I have some questions related to a project I'm working on.
Just so we’re clear here, conversion therapy is torture. Religious fanatics have demanded the right to traumatize and torment their own children because they are cowardly bigots. I hate this corrupt Supreme Court.
Yes, that’s the one.
I never got that book because it looked silly.
Agreed. Carl Sargent did great work on Greyhawk.
For the setting as originally presented, I suggest a PDF of 1983 World of Greyhawk boxed set (AKA the gold box). PDF because original copies are expensive now. Later in the world, there’s a setting shattering war. For that period I recommend the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer. Tons of info in there.
It's the final 3 days for this Humble Bundle that has 4 Green Ronin RPG books in it. The write-up isn't super clear about this, but the bundle is in aid of companies still fighting to get their stuff back in the Diamond Bankruptcy case. Dig this great deal! www.humblebundle.com/books/indie-...
What gave it away? :)
There are still seats at my table if you want a D&D vacation in an English castle.

Many, many Greyhawk books for D&D.
Nicole’s been out of town and this is the library that’s accumulated on our bed in the meantime. I’ve been working on my campaign for D&D in a Castle. That’s not until October but there’s a lot of prep work to be done so I started early in the year.
Well, that’s another dozen books added to my “to read” list.
