Though if you are an independent contractor and you find you routinely owe a lot at the end of the year due to self-employment tax - PAY QUARTERLY. i CANNOT be stressing this enough. It's much easier to pay increments 4 times a year than dump a bunch in April.

and make sure to remember that the 4/15 deadline is the deadline to pay REGARDLESS of if you've filed an extension or not! if you don't know the exact number, make an estimate, and either you'll get money back when you do file OR you'll cut down on the amount you'll owe + penalty.

i ask cuz i have sex scenes upcoming in both xuexiao and qiurong fics i’m writing and i want to make sure its tagged properly but it also feels weird to have it tagged in detail when it’s something fleeting

dear Ao3 fic authors, a q about tag etiquette: if the fic you are writing has smut but it isn’t a main focus (i.e. it’s mostly plot with some sex sprinkled in), do you still have to include the details in the tags or is a simple nsfw/smut tag enough

I made a "Yellow Wallpaper" piece back in 2017, but I re-read the story over the weekend and wanted to try again. Much happier with this version 🖤

TTRPGS is what really brought me into Tolkien, and it’s my bread and butter. I’m so excited for Westmoot this year and taking an active role in bringing more Tolkien folk into TTRPGs and collaborative storytelling.
