Trading a little thing like Epicure with one of the many big scary creatures in the format, and it makes an artifact!

I considered it upgraded in Blast, and Snacker swapped to Familiar. But I'll think about it!
Jane I am sorry but I play Pauper explicitly because of how much I love Black Mage's Rod, and this deck is a manifestation of that love, bridging Burn with Affinity via the Magic Bang Stick. To cut it would be to die.
Perfect change for broader environments like Cube!! Much appreciated
This is a smash up of two Pauper decks so...not completely no, but also not yes

@nyc-mtg.com This came to me in a dream. Am I cooking or deluded?
I yapped about Eiganjo Drift!
145/432 (3 packs of 18) is a good size that maintains the tension of getting just enough, or you can go a bit higher like 150-160 for a more relaxed draft
What's cool about fetching basics? Ash Barrens is more interesting design
Nah
As long as your drafters know you didn't hear it from me

Okay, to balance you out, did you know if you cast Shahrazad and copy it, while playing out the copy's subgame, you can Wish for the one that's still on the stack in the main game?
Prior to this change, the only cards banned in Vintage are those that just don't work within the confines of how tournaments are played—ante cards and dexterity cards. The former, like Rebirth and Demonic Attorney, are a relic of how the game used to be played, a way of putting something on the line in the days before Organized Play was a big part of Magic. Along similar lines, the Organized Play department requested that Shahrazad be banned from tournament play for logistical reasons—it requires more time than can be allowed to play out. Not only does the card make you and your opponent play an entire "subgame" of Magic within the original game, but it also requires you to set aside the original game intact so that it can be returned to at a later time—a process that uses both time and space, resources valuable to tournament organizers and quantum physicians alike. Because of how much time Shahrazad can eat up, the card is ripe for abuse. The worst-case scenario involves a player winning the first game of a match and then sideboarding in some number of Shahrazads, launching subgames nested within subgames, each with copious and meticulous shuffling until time runs out. Or, faced with losing the first game or the match, a player could use a card like Burning Wish to fetch up a Shahrazad and attempt to stall the match into a draw right there. This behavior takes advantage of the structure of tournaments in a way that is both unfair and against the spirit of the game, so I have no problem endorsing the banning of the card. The questionable loophole involving Shahrazad and suspend was closed in the Tenth Edition comprehensive rules update, so I have a hard time imagining any real strategic value to playing the card other than as a pure time-wasting device; to that end I don't think we're taking anything away from the "Eternal" formats by not allowing the card. And if you enjoy playing the card casually, feel free to do so.
They basically wanted to stop someone from building a deck that goes to time intentionally before it could become a problem
Can you believe Shahrazad was legal in Legacy constructed until 2007
Please don't
Fatal Push and Abrade are the only cards in this image that I like

Good Games Morley and LoadingReadyRun?
"the Internet used to be a place"
Yep!
In the interest of transparency, since making the described changes, I have gone 0-6 in back to back events. Probably time to hang up the Welders deck 😭
The Eventlink trash can sticker 😭
Da Bird Bard broken
I love "minigame" cards and if the stakes were different, could probably enjoy the design
I am celebrating because I loathe that card lol
In *this* case I believe it's just templating preference with no distinction.
Yeah we talked it over at the shop and concluded the last big G vanillas that mattered were Leatherback Baloth and Tarmogoyf :/
But I was equally depressed by Colossal Rattlewurm, so it's hardly a new feeling
