Palmer’s Bar goes out with a blast of horns, piano and tears Sunday’s 11-hour final blowout at the 119-year-old Minneapolis dive bar ended with Cornbread Harris taking longtime patrons to “church.”

So long, Palmer’s. What a perfectly fun, familial and a wee bit chaotic ending.

Played dozens of shows at Palmer’s over the last 25 years, and last night was probably the most unique and insane nights I’ve been a part of. Really fun to be included. Sad to see it go, of course, but we’ll keep tilling the earth…I guess this was the only photo I took. Enjoy the basement view.
