Doctors say medical journals, not TikTok, are the appropriate place to research vaccines. But this Florida Surgeon General isn't so sure.

@nytpitchbot.bsky.social - this was my feed when I opened the app up just now. It took me a minute to realize you'd only written the first two.
Onion headline?
Agree with your take. The only thing I find hopeful is that right now AI is messing up so often, I don't see anyone other than SV Kool-Aid Drinkers taking their hands off the wheel and letting it do anything on its own, even responding to emails.
Israelis and Palestinians deserve peace, safety, and dignity.
The solution will never be displacing one side, whether that means a Judenfrei state “from the river to the sea” or forcibly resettling Palestinians.
We must solve the conflict by recognizing Israeli and Palestinian ties to these lands.
Big week for Disney: a groundbreaking deal between the NFL and ESPN that sees the league owning part of the network and the non-totally-unexpected merging of the Disney+ and Hulu apps worldwide.

Yes. Ezra Klein has been making waves as of late too.
Mostly on the back of Wurdle, Spelling Bee, Cooking and The Athletic, but yes.
It's why the home page now features recipes with Melissa C's trademark blinding purple prose ("The Cozy, Warming Soup You Need To Make Today!!") in the top right quadrant.

“Evyatar is fighting for his life with what little strength he has left,” Matan Eshet, David’s cousin, told Jewish Insider. “You can see it in his eyes. You don’t need a medical degree to understand that Evyatar only has a few days to live.”
@lahavharkov reports:
Where are all the headlines today showing Evyatar David’s starved body, forced to dig his own grave in Hamas’s tunnels?
Where are all the Instagram stories from celebrities who “can’t stay silent anymore”?
Why doesn’t Evyatar deserve your outrage?
What hell looks like: the footage Hamas shared of the hostages they still hold, knowing the media and the entire world would look away and never be outraged about it.

If you refuse to condemn Hamas for the murder, maiming, mutilation, rape, torture, and abduction of thousands of Jews and Israelis on October 7, then you have no business calling yourself a humanitarian.
A humanitarianism that devalues Jewish life is no humanitarianism at all
"You have to speak and act with moral clarity, and when supporters of yours say things that are blatantly antisemitic, you can’t leave room for that to just sit there. You’ve got to condemn that," Josh Shaprio told Jewish Insider in an interview.
My thought exactly.
"Azajus"
Jews make up just 2% of the U.S. population yet represent a disproportionate target of hate crimes in America. The violence never happens in a vacuum; it arises in an atmosphere where antisemitism is amplified across social media platforms and college campuses and then ultimately unleashed in the streets. According to the ADL, a staggering 1 in 4 Americans believes that recent attacks on Jews in the US are “understandable.” To treat antisemitic terror as “understandable” is to defend the indefensible and excuse the inexcusable. Antisemitism is an acid that corrodes civilization itself.

Early days ChatGPT would frequently create titles and links to articles it claimed I wrote. What was creepy was they were both on topics I might have writtten on and for publications too, but they were completely hallucinated and the links went nowhere. It's gotten much better these days
What happens when AI tools start letting people create their own stories on video and the gatekeepers are all algorithms?

1. The fact that the NYT assumes their readers must all be doing this.
2. The fact that the Comments is filled with people who mostly want to line their own family members up against a wall and shoot them.
3. The fact that the column is lifted from a new book (e.g. a deal with the publisher)
