As I’m literally listening to Kaine take the victory lap on stupid fucking collaborator Jen Psaki’s show. 😂

Go Virginia!!!

I have the utmost respect for Senator Kaine and Senator Warner but we do not need “coaching” on redistricting coming from a cuck chair in the corner. How about you all stay focused on the fascist in the White House and let us handle redistricting in Virginia. 10-1

You cannot give men an inch. You tell them it’s not 62 million men, now it’s our fault for not explaining to them exactly how websites work.

This seems like a reading comprehension problem for you and others.

One porn site, Motherless.com, is home to more than 20,000 videos of so-called
"sleep" content uploaded by users, with hundreds of thousands of views.
The website, which had around 62 million visits in February alone and whose core audience is in the United States, describes itself as a "moral free file host where
anything legal is hosted forever."
The legality of some material posted is in serious doubt.

In these videos, men film themselves lifting the closed eyelids of women to show they are sleeping or sedated, with some "eyecheck" videos surpassing 50,000 views. Inside the Motherless "sleep" community - first reported on by German investigative journalists Isabell Beer and Isabel Ströh - members trade advice on how to drug their partners.
On the "Zzz" chat group, which a Motherless user had linked to and where we first met Piotr, they do the same. CNN is not providing the names and doses of the specific medicines the users said they employ.

What’s sensational about this? All of the numbers provide context.

Did you read the article?

1 hour ago 0 0 2 0

Thats the point of the article — it’s an example of abuse against women. It’s literally an illustration of how men abuse women.

And the total views was just the month of February. 28 days.

I’ve re-read the article, and some of the feminist commentary I’ve read since, and I agree the CNN article should have used clearer language. But the same language doesn’t support the “1000 max” claim either. Is that just conjecture on your part based on the # of videos uploaded/viewed & # of users?

GenBioPro needs all of democracy forward’s attention right now if women have any hope of continued telehealth access to mifepristone.

I was feeling sentimental and agreed to accompany my father to one of his inns of court recently. Listening to him try to speak to young lawyers on their responsibilities re AI was fucking comedy; the man still uses an old dictaphone.

Lawyers are definitely still making the same old mistakes! ☺️

PA Commonwealth Court: reproductive autonomy is a fundamental right under the Pennsylvania Constitution, embedded within the right to privacy and other recognized rights, even if those currently interpreting the U.S. Constitution disagree.

No polling on abortion? Mifepristone? Considering how aggressively Louisiana is challenging mifepristone access in court, an outsider would assume it’s important to voters in Louisiana.

In an article focused *solely* on the Louisiana senate race there’s not one single mention of abortion.

How is that possible when Louisiana - with the support of current Republican antiabortion Senator Bill Cassidy - is thisclose to restricting mifepristone access to women NATIONWIDE.

Get serious

I have a few ideas why this happened; (1) after Dobbs, people assumed abortion was a dead issue; (2) administrative law is boring and complicated; (3) the antiabortion propaganda is more powerful than ever; (4) at the same time, people falsely believe drugs like mife will always be available

Under SB 1095 in South Carolina, women who have abortions would be punished on misdemeanor criminal charges.

Even rape victims and those with nonviable pregnancies would face two years of prison time for having an abortion.

UPDATE: this dangerous bill passed another hurdle in South Carolina today. We're keeping a close eye on how this bill is progressing. In the meantime, we need you to get LOUD about how EXTREME anti-abortion politicians are being. We have to fight back!

I’m reading news that they could take up this bill as soon as tomorrow.

Very, very, very dangerous territory.

The same Fifth Circuit to consider Louisiana’s 705 motion in Louisiana v. FDA. Hm.

Wonder what the panel will think about abortion pills mailed to Louisiana in light of the district court’s ruling that LA is likely to succeed on the merits & suffers irreparable harm daily.

😂 what the GOP really meant was “states’ rights for me, not for thee”

Yes we have

I’m also frustrated because I don’t know anyone left willing to invest time and energy into the legal fight. People don’t seem to think the legal rights are worth fighting for. It’s a bizarre shift. But everything that happens in court will matter for decades and decades to come.

As a lawyer and as a woman I’m frustrated because we’re losing SO badly. We’re getting steamrolled by ADF and Liz Murrill bc no one is protecting our interests, and noone’s interested in protecting our interests.

Some of these arguments are easy to contest BUT NO PARTY IS PRESENT TO CONTEST THEM.

April 20 expedited briefing schedule

April 20 expedited briefing schedule

I hope everyone understands the timing here. Our dem AGs need to be writing an amicus brief NOW to protect our rights.

Pregnant women in blue states HAVE RIGHTS. Louisiana shouldn’t be allowed to take them from us — but that’s exactly what will happen unless our blue states stand up for us.

This data center is not located in New Jersey; it’s located in New York.

Folks in New Jersey have plenty of data center problems to worry about — but this isn’t one of them.

Louisiana v. FDA; Missouri v. FDA; Florida v. FDA — three cases the democratic attorneys general should have intervened in from the very beginning. I fear women will pay the cost of their failure to intervene sooner than later in Louisiana v. FDA, now that it’s in the Fifth Circuit.

In the Louisiana v. FDA appeal in the fifth circuit, the defendants-appellees’ response to plaintiffs-appellants’ 705 motion is due by THIS Thursday.

This case will move quickly, now. The original timeline (waiting for the Oct 6 status report) sits in the background.

Red States Thought They Could Stop Abortions. They Ended Up Stopping Only the Lifesaving Ones. Abortion bans are failing.

But, red states ARE another step closer to ending access to Mifepristone through telehealth. That would mean no more mailing the abortion pill, even in states where abortion is legal. That would mean pharmacies can’t fill mifepristone. That means women in red states have to travel to blue states.
