Teachers and librarians attend the summer literacy institute every year for a fun 2 days of professional development and networking.
Jarred Amato shines a light on the power and influence we can bring to the classroom to encourage independent reading
Sylvia Liu and her amazing cyberpunk novel, Hana Hsu and the Ghost Crab Nation
John Schu with his heartwarming picture books–"This is a Story" and " Ruthie Rose's Big Idea–and his newest novel, "Louder Than Hunger"
I had the honor of attending Longwood's Summer Literacy Institute as a vendor! So good to meet everyone and learn so much from inspiring authors about literacy and the power of storytelling

April 26 is Independent Bookstore Day and I implore you to support your local indies.
But, as I am highly encouraged to promote my books with big retailers, I’ll also be putting up promos for a sale with one of them soon too.
Just letting you know in advance so you can choose where your $ goes.

Standing in front of our collection of big books
Caitlin Cardwell proudly showing off the books she bought at our booth
Posing behind the Bookworm Central booth
Lot of teachers were interested in our books!
Last week I talked to some awesome folks at the VAAEYC Annual Conference. Definitely felt surreal to be among others who value the importance of education ❤️
