Dragon Age AU my Warden OC! Turned my boy Dan into a Grey Warden :) Dan is a muscular human man with short dark hair with a streak of white. He has a dark trimmed beard and a wide friendly smile as he looks off to the right. The first reference image is Dan in black pants with silvery greaves/boots covering his lower legs. He's wearing a loose white tunic which exposes his arms. The second reference image is Dan's armor. He has a metal breastplate overtop of a padded blue coat with chainmail underneath. Tall leather gloves go up to his biceps and have additional metal plating on his right arm. He normally wields a sword and shield! Dan just keeps smiling despite the horrors :)
Dragon Age OCs! A spirit of hope that follows my Warden. Text at the top of the image provides a little context for Hope and the Warden it follows. On the left: "HOPE This spirit of hope crossed over from the fade to be with Warden Daniel Rodriguez. It appears to him as an old companion, Warden Jean-Luc Rodier. Hope has possessed the Warden's sword offering spiritual power to Daniel in his fight against Darkspawn. In exchange Dan provides hope protection through his deeds, and heroic disposition saving the spirit from its corruption into Despair." And on the right: "DESPAIR The pain and anguish of this world constantly threatens to corrupt Hope into a Despair Demon. The love Dan and Hope have for each other keeps both of them fighting to give others a chance at peace and a joyful life." A spirit of hope appears as a tall nude man draped in a flowing cloak. Their entire form is tinted blue. They hold a glowing white sword in one hand against their chest, while the edges of their cloak grows tattered and dark with a toothy maw beginning to form. Other images show Hope's face barely peeking out of the maw of Despair. And another showing a full body walking while their cloak is covered in teeth and mouths as Despair literally devours Hope. The glowing white sword begins to darken under the touch of one of the demonic hands.

A ritual before combat that makes the Warden and Spirit feel more connected. Bottom right. Dan lounges on some sunny hill somewhere arms folded behind his head. His eyes are closed and he has a small piece of grass in his mouth. He looks very at ease. Hope sits behind him looking down at him lovingly.

A quick messy illustration of my Grey Warden character from the Dragon Age series. Dan is a tall muscular man clad in blue. He has short dark hair and a trimmed beard, and grips a sword and shield in his hands as he looks towards the viewer with a wild look in his eye. He breathes heavily as he regains his composure, and is covered in the black blood and viscera of slain darkspawn.
I had a thought, and I rushed to draw my grey warden to talk about it.
What if the Joining fucks up some Wardens. Like they're mostly normal, but part of their ability to sense blight/darkspawn is like blood in the water to a shark.
