As ridiculous as this picture is, if I’m a collegiate woman athlete, I probably want trump in front of me where I can see his hands.

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen anybody fall on the point of their chin like that before. Certainly not in a basketball game.
Had a teammate fall on a tennis court and fracture seven of her teeth right across the front. Seven crowns required.
He’s lucky. Could’ve been worse.

He is rich enough to defend himself from the kind of legal attacks that will be relentless should he choose to run. trump’s DOJ will be the electoral attack dog.
That said, go look up his commencement speed at Northwestern and then tell me he’s not a good guy.

The amount of money that these guys are risking on the error-prone mess that is the current version of AI is insane.
Using it for your fantasy league is fine. Spending tens of millions on AI generated recommendations will quickly make you an EX-gm.

It’s become the default purity test.

If you’re willing to bend the knee on the obvious lie, he knows that you will do anything he asks.

On the plus side, it does make identifying the sycophants much easier.

Oh yeah, I forgot that budget “increase” is earmarked for raccoon penises…

A static budget is a real-world budget CUT, by the rate of inflation.

This budget will fund LESS research.

Sure, it’s not like submarines, etc are closed environments or anything.

One person with the flu is an inconvenience, an entire crew sick at once is a danger.

If we erase the memory, we risk it happening again. I would much rather his downfall be taught in the history books forever more.

There was a woman on my commute that I would pass almost every day walking a beautiful pair of springer spaniels.

Then one day there was only one.

I felt it like it was my own dog.

The attachments you can make even when driving by at 30 miles an hour are remarkable.

My food industry son says the frequency is about one egg in every 20,000.

Not an issue if you’re using one or two eggs for a single batch, but if you’re using 1000 eggs for large industrial batch, then it can be an issue.

So the odds are in your favor…

Did the trump cabinet meanings have an open bar or something?
Lots and lots of ethanol abuse in the headlines.

I reject the premise of the argument. We are already spending roughly twice as much as an average developed country. Twice as much for much less delivered care.
It’s not about giving something up, it’s about reapplying that which is already given.

I am not at all convinced that AI is beneficial for science. While its speed seems like a huge time saver, the errors it makes simply shift effort from doing it right the first time to cleaning up the mess.
In its current iteration, it cannot be trusted.

Having retired after drawing a science paycheck for 35 years, this hurts my heart. ❤️
I know so many young people who had hard-earned, brilliant futures, who are treading water unsure about what’s next.
They will find their way, but sadly that might be overseas.

And what percentage of the tariff refunds do you actually make it to the American consumer?
I’ve got my money on 0%.

We need to raise the bar beyond just Medicare.
Average medical cost for Medicare recipient between time of going on the program and death is still $200,000 OUT OF POCKET.
Not only medical coverage for everyone, but the best coverage in the world.
That should be the bar.

Right, and America’s new energy push?

Coal.

Freaking COAL.

My grandfather was a coal minor in the very early 1900s. A full century ago.

We’re not just standing still, we’re actively being pushed backwards.

Meritocracy is absolutely fine.

It’s also a fantasy.

When you have “legacy” admissions, and can buy your kid a prestigious slot wherever, we have a system that protects mediocrity as long as the checks clear. Meritocracy in name only.

The concept is sound, the application is broken

I’m sure crabs feel curiosity. As in “I’m curious, can I eat this?”
I spent too many hours at Yellowstone, watching tourists trying to put their children on the back of bison for a photo op to have any tolerance for the Disney-fication of nature.

Sure, but does it use a raccoon-penis delivery system? That’s required for funding these days.

Let’s see, the most profoundly unqualified secretary in the history of the office is complaining about the qualification process?
His soul qualification was a willingness to kiss trump‘s ass. (I know it’s “sole”, but this AutoCorrect seems somehow more appropriate)
Another soul sold.

It’s not just China. The entire world is moving into renewables while pointing towards the future.
America has made a U-turn and is scurrying back to the 1800s. Petroleum and coal.
Pretty sure whale oil is next on the agenda
