Of course, I had Emocosine as my top artist. His music is just fun to listen while walking. It practically helps me with pacing.

That's normal. The higher the fluency, the more that is expected from you and your reading comprehension.

They would also say that ballpen are needed on activities. They be wildin sometimes. Also that mentality just makes the students only carry and answer with a ballpen.

Tip as a language practise teacher. Duolingo doesn't work if used alone. You need authentic learning where you speak with other speakers. Watch TV shows and movies in your target language as well. Also, don't be afraid to talk to others and speak by yourself as well. It's all about practise.

Common here. There's this ballpen required mentality in my country so that we are taught to finalise our answers and limit cheating (which both don't really work well with this method). I get around those policies by some of my professor with a mechanical pencil.

There could be a chance that their teacher or professor forced them to use ballpen. Still, pencil is better simply because you can change your mistakes!

Practise teacher playing a short film of the short story The Lottery.

Practise teacher playing a short film of the short story The Lottery.

As part 1 of my prac teaching soon comes to a close, here is class where the topic is The Lottery by Shirley Jackson. Had to go with the video as most students get easily bored when reading.

In the US and some other countries only. Most countries still use the gum-based glue. I don't lick my stamps, but I certainly use water with my fingers. As a philatelist also, I hate those self-adhesive stamps. It makes them extremely hard to harvest.

They probably from the US or UK cause those are the countries that heavily use self-adhesive stamps.

I'm seen this meme so much that I just want to express myself. As someone outside of America, why can't y'all just talk? It seems like no one is going to the middle ground and make proper discussions. The left is hellbent on a sudden change now and the right making sure their ideals are implemented.

As an English prac teacher, I'm absolutely stealing this idea. Still, would it be ok though?

Buy a tank based. In Asia, or at least in my country, everyone uses a tank based with the most popular one being Epson ecotanks. Brother printers are popular as well. My family owns an L3310 and it has existed for like 4 years with one issue popping up once.

Y'all seriously need to buy ink tank based printers Americans. I dunno why Americans, while complaining, still buys cartridge printers. I know this maybe out of topic, but that issue is generally with cartridge printers.

Bit exaggerated, but being a monolingual does limit your reach. That's why native English speakers sometimes are less culturally informed compared to those who are bi or multilingual.

123rd anniversary of the first Philippine republic postage stamp

123rd anniversary of the first Philippine republic postage stamp

When volunteering for the Davao leg of Manna Filatelica 2024, I got this as a freebie by one of the exhibitors. Great addition to my own collection and a way to learn my country's history. Longest postage stamp when it was released. There is a longer one now by PHLPost.

I know that the progressive leaning peeps are pent-up due to Twitter and now releasing it in Bluesky, but why advocate violence? I know some are memes, but still. There is rather a need to educate and have meaningful dialogue.

Citable theory here is Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems as the community directly and indirectly molds learners.

Other than me being a prac teacher, this tip would surely help my mum which is a schoold admin!

Nice tip but this ends up becoming really annoying as the class turns into a public market. Better is to have them raise their hands up so that it is less loud or doing it in groups.

The amount of pro anti-piracy bill political ads on Facebook infuriates me. Obviously, there is lobbying going on in my country by media distributors. They dare want to monopolise while prices for streaming services are way to expensive and fragmented.
