Past the glory years though

To be fair clubbing in Kingston hasn't been the same since they rebadged Volts in 2000.
I think a lot of people are using it as an excuse not to go into work.
And then going maybe not a few years later when realise the maybe data wasn't as good as we thought
I often cycle without a helmet but if we listened to some public health people this should be illegal (like it is in Australia) which would be preposterous and counter productive (like it is in Australia)
A vintage Casio watch with TV remote
A schoolfriend had one of these with an IR TV remote and played havoc with any teacher who played a video.
Do I care about the minutiae of the scandal in the way the press is? No. Do I care whether the PM is incompetent or lied? Yes.
I don't trust anyone who plays the same word every day? I'd rather never have a 1/6 than live a life that boring.
Isn't this America Brain in action? US universities seem to do more general, subjects in their courses where you might encounter philosophy when majoring in accounting whereas even in the arts British and European are almost always specialised.
I live near Guildford and I've seen signs in the bluebell woods asking people to stick to the paths as people have been trampling the flowers to get better photos. Unlike say the cherry blossoms in Japan, bluebells are usually in places that can't handle huge amounts of traffic.
A load of bluebells in a wood
Let me add to the bellfest
Or a lot of tower blocks with empty floors.
I implore every driver who rails against being stuck behind cyclists to count the times they have to stop because of parked cars.
Well I'm in favour of that when SMRs mature as a technology but until then the big ones need loads of space and water hence why they are usually on the coast rather than prime riverside real estate.
I'm very much in favour of sorting out the planning system. Also don't assume people like me live in London.
Economies of scale is true for solar as well as everything else. Also all those smaller projects you are so keen on will also get stuck in planning hell and still nothing will get built. We just need to build the damn thing and people will get over it.
I hate every film I see from Easy A to World War Z, no you'll never make a monkey out of me!
But this is what the OP is saying, that this should be a priority as the benefits are huge. lives saved, QALYs gained, savings for NHS etc. just by enforcing current laws. The way people just shrug and assume thousands of road deaths are a necessary fact of life boggles my mind.
This is a very odd thing to say. The UK is relatively rich too does that mean we don't try and tackle poverty?
The phoney War on The Motorist that gets rolled out every time any enforcement is proposed and governments reluctance to push back on it has cost thousands of lives. We can't be too smug about the US's attitude to gun control when so many people here feel it's their right to drive dangerously.
• Every 20 minutes, someone is the victim of an uninsured or hit-and-run driver. That's three an hour, 72 a day, more than 26,000 a year. • Every day, at least one person is so seriously injured by an uninsured or hit-and-run driver that they need lifelong care. That's more than 360 people a year whose lives are forever changed for the worse. • Every week, at least one person is killed by a driver who is not insured. That's more than 50 people a year whose lives are cut short, more than 50 families a year who lose a loved one. • Every day, there is an average of 300,000 uninsured vehicles on UK roads. The total number across the year is over 1 million. • Every year, using government figures, we estimate that uninsured and hit-and-run drivers cost the economy almost £2.4 billion.
Not so fun facts about uninsured drivers: they kill and maim a lot of people.
If the vibes are right then most people don't care about the accuracy or even the subject of this kind of content. I mean ZB has got popular fighting a parking ticket and a building but her David Vs Goliath style seems to draw people in.
Trump doctrine seems to be: speak loudly, carry a big stick, complain when people aren't scared of the stick.
Did Cory Doctorow get confused? He's the odd one out in that lineup
Yup. With their reluctance to piss landlords off too much the government delayed the implementation of the renters rights act which gave enough time for a load of people to get eviction notices which is the main thing it was supposed to prevent
Or a bike not worth the effort.
In a country where the anthem invokes God, there are churches everywhere and has bishops in the HoL we sure do like to avoid talking about faith.

You have to assume that any animal video is ai now. It's ruined cute animal videos.
Both sets of my grandparents were working class south Londoners. I don't think they agreed on anything.
