Yellowjackets room ended w (an opt) seance that was everything YJ: The spooky, the collaboration, & the slumber party vibes. Gonna miss every single one of these ppl who pulled from somewhere otherworldly & then put it on the page. Forever thankful I was able to sit at their table & feel that magic.

Obviously I'm biased. But, even if my fav people weren't behind this show, and even if I hadn't gotten to be a part of it, I'd still say this season of Yellowjackets is one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE THINGS. Right up there with rock tumblers, chai lattes, and civil rights.

I'm out of town so my housemate went to grab my essentials in the evacuation. I panicked and told her to grab my passport, taxes, and my fav '70s jumpsuit. But later she told me that she ALSO saved my vintage oil portrait I picked up at a flea market known as "Tits Magee." And I am SO thankful

A previous tenant left ant traps in the dishwasher. We've been washing our dishes in ant trap water for weeks. So now I'm scouring vet websites bc not a lot of people eat ant traps, but dogs do. And I'm figuring if enough of these idiot dogs survive, I'll make it, too.

I'm behind on a deadline and so instead of writing I almost bought a 10 bedroom fixer-upper 2000 miles away in my hometown. A friend practically staged an intervention.

The feeling that you have to look cool, but, like, not trying, when selling to a Crossroads Trading Post is paralyzing.

Nothing to do today but buy some shoes and berate myself for my missteps in holiday smalltalk. (Specifically Allbirds. Oh, and specifically telling a group of people who had just finished their Thanksgiving dinner the entire plot, beat by beat, of Palahniuk's "Guts.")
