Reading the UK section of the Annual Review and a few things we want to highlight:
1. The shameful way in which migrants (LGBTQ+ or otherwise) are treated
2. The number of court cases brought by anti-trans campaigners
3. The sheer amount of stuff that is making it harder to be trans in the UK.

I'm having problems following people right now on Threads. IF you give me a follow it lets me follow back but because I rush followed 50+ accounts last night it's throttled me from making pre-emptive follows (if that makes sense).
Frustrated as I'm missing so many of my Threads there right now.....

Yeah hoping that it’s a bug that will sort itself.
It’s just a pain. I wanted to make sure it would come back with no data loss. Nothing about a time restriction once you deactivated & now I’m back to starting over. Having probs rebuilding my community there as restricted from making new follows. 🤷🏻‍♂️

So my other account is still not working on Threads so I’ve created a backup. @zozoaurora.bsky.social is aware & been helping spread the word so if you get a new Threads follow it’s me. Here is the account.

Tested the feature, logged back in to check there would be no issues reactivating & now nothing. Error messages, blank pages and I can see my profile on the app. And others have said I’m not searchable. HELP!

I can’t even see it on the desktop. Just getting “something wrong” message.

Shit! All I did was deactivate to test and make sure I would be able to log in no problems once I reactivated and now it’s like all I can see is me and nothing else. I can’t even see links to others Threads on their Instagram profile.

Doc is going to write a referral to Glasgow gender services clinic this week!!!
Caveat: it’s only now seeing adults referred Nov 2018.
Grateful Doc has got this rolling though - will be in mid-50’s. Financial constraints mean I’m at mercy of hold-ups in NHS trans care. Still taking this as a win!🏳️‍⚧️

We are disappointed, but unfortunately not surprised, to hear that Wes Streeting has met with and sympathised with the Bayswater Group as well as a number of other groups advocating for anti-LGBTQIA+ conversion practices. We are disturbed by the fact that Wes Streeting and the UK Labour government have no intention of working positively or in good faith with any LGBTQIA+ groups; instead they choose to do the opposite. It has been shown numerous times how the Bayswater Group have caused harm. As we have previously seen, via their work with Miriam Cates and the Conservative Government, they have worked to block any Conversion Practices ban.

It has been reported that trans young people met with Streeting, begging and pleading for there not to be a ban on puberty blockers but Streeting's actions have since proven his sympathies are with those seeking to cause us harm. Whilst the UK Labour Government continues to work with these anti-trans hate groups, we have no faith that there will be a UK-wide trans-inclusive Conversion Practices Ban. This follows on from Wes Streeting's work continuing the Conservatives' ban on puberty blockers, as well as his continued push to implement the fatally flawed Cass Review: a review which is also heavily influenced by groups advocating for conversion practices against queer people, and has been shown to ignore young trans people's voices. Clearly, these are actions which both Cass and Streeting have in common. Therefore, we call on Wes Streeting to resign immediately as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. Citing recent comments by Wes Streeting on the Bayswater group.

Barrister Jane Russell, representing NHS Fife and Dr Upton, said: “What you have complained about is Dr Upton’s mere presence in the changing room, not anything she said or did.” Ms Peggie said: “That’s right.” Asked about an occasion on October 25 2023 when she left the changing room, and waited for Dr Upton to leave, Ms Peggie said she felt “flustered”. Ms Russell said: “There’s certainly no physical abuse or harassment of you.” Ms Peggie said: “That’s correct.”

Again nothing in this case relates to anything Beth Upton said or did, but rhe mere fact of her presence as a trans woman. It's straightforward bigotry.
