whoops sorry my finger slipped i wrote an essay

( she deflects her sincerity with a lighthearted joke , hoping that doesn't make jax completely shut down and avoid the topic . she doesn't know if it'll actually / work / , but it's worth a shot . . )

when we were stuck together , he told me something .
he told me the worst thing you can do here is make someone think they're unloved .

and i think . . . i think that stuck with me more than i'd like to admit .

( it's a little frightening , but pomni / has / been growing more accustomed to the circus .
