Now at 5 months, stable-ish imaging. But concern for compression spinal cord (probably from natural progression). Super high risk surgery and surgeon has agreed to go in and do a corpectomy.

So was diagnosed with sustained candademia initially, signs of discitis found T12-L1 on MRI. Presumed diagnosis. No biopsy done.
After 3 months of therapy, worsening symptoms, small collection found, aspirated - culture positive. Too sick at the time and comorbid thus not surgical candidate.

Does anybody have any experience with mixing antifungals in cement for MSK infection? This is for a severe case of spondylodiscitiis with Candida albicans. Refractory to medical treatment after 5 months of dual antifungal therapy (fluconazole/echinocandin), initially was not a surgical candidate.
