dhuartson: Don't let anyone talk you out of spending $15 on a new hobby. That $50 will be the best $400 you ever spent.
This is not wrong.
"The more disabled people speak up, that's how change will happen."
Disability benefits are a lifeline for millions in the UK, but this support is under increasing threat.

A cartoon diagram of a person with symbols on their body that represent different types of pain.
Here's one I just found! I think this was when I had just broken up with my ex (hence all the emotional pain). I need to dig out the rest.
A dancer is shown from the back, wearing a dark, shiny tracksuit, while being embraced by a second dancer whose face is visible over their shoulder. The image is set against a vibrant, solid lime-green background with a slightly grainy, high-contrast texture.
You & Us by Cathy Waller Company is a powerful double bill of live contemporary dance and film, accompanied by a striking photographic exhibition.
When: 07 May
Where: The Place, London
Cost: £16-£20

👏👏👏
I might have to do some shoddy phone photos- I saw at least 2 of the drawings the other day when I was 'tidying'.
A pen and highlighter drawing of a cat wailing and crying with exhaustion.
another day in paradise
I need to resurrect my pain drawings, I don't know if it helped anyone understand what it was like to be in my body, but it helped me. I like this diary cards.
I need to scan in my drawings/comic that I made showing all my multiple types of pain- very reminiscent of your image with pains marked on it.
Is he going to be putting out a call for donations I wonder?
Life outside the studio/kitchebln floor/conflict zone.
And that is what a day would've been like if I was still on Twitter- endless posts about nothing in particular, mainly talking to myself to prove I actually did a thing. Also just remembered I scrubbed the bird feeders and retired them until they are needed again.
The seal on the door had broken and it was (very) slowly defrosting, so now I am trying to defrost a freezer for possibly only the second time in my life. The fridge has been on the blink too so maybe the landlord will replace them and I shall have a full set of functional white goods.
Still learning how to post threads on here as you can see. Following my triumph (and cake) I got a cushion from the charity shop, went and did some dull work related emails, got some curry and came home to a puddle of water on the floor next to my freezer.
The point I 'won' was that using ai to celebrate workers, whilst stealing work/jobs/water was the worst idea ever. I don't know how I managed to do it but I think sitting down and saying 'right, let's sort this out then' helped. 52 years avoiding confrontation and maybe I've cracked it ?
This was followed by a heated 'debate' about using ai and images of Lenin to create posters to advertise events on May 1st. There were so many examples of multiple arms it was almost endearing. I managed to assert myself for possibly the first time in my life, but had to have a cake afterwards.
Today has been the sort of day that if I still had Twitter I would be constantly updating about all the mundane things I've done. First action of the day- drafting an Access to Work change of circumstances application, then onto meeting an artist in residence and taking payment from her.
Suella Braverman’s parents emigrated (those horrible economic migrants not from a war zone she hates).
She went to Cambridge for free and didn’t collect £27k debt like everyone else. Scrounger.
She used the Erasmus scheme to study in France. Which she has blocked.
Horrible.
A colourful room in Stargazy cafe. There is blue wallpaper with oranges, lemons and birds on one wall. Against the wall is a gold coloured sofa with 3 velvet cushions on. There are mirrors on the wall and a blackboard with a cocktail menu on. There is a standard lamp with gold trim, a red table and a soft blue chair.
Today I did some diy- helped my friend recover some chairs, hang some fabric and generally doing stuff like drinking tea & gossiping. An all new look for Stargazy cafe in Penryn, previously a cafe serving Italianish food, now a cocktail and cakes/sundaes bar- opening 6pm Friday.

Love your balls
Finally got round to listening to the episodes I've had storing up since the podcast launched- it's reminded me to revisit my account here.
A very stocky Exmoor Horn ram.
Happy 8th anniversary to the tweet that changed us forever. Look at this absolute unit.
Anyone know any UK zine distro other than Vampire Hag and Andromeda? Making an updates to my zine resources page and I'm sure there must be more!
