When I first created them in 2018, their appearance was inspired by angels. But as I wrote the novel, I increasingly started to describe them as some kind of arthropod.

Choosing to misgender nonbinary characters because they're fictional shows you are a bigot. Some of the only NB representation in media & you choose to treat it as meaningless because it "doesn't matter?" If fictional characters' genders don't at all matter, why listen to correction about cis ones?
