#Romeo&Juliet has some iconic items that play important part in the story. The cross, masquerade mask, poison vials, roses vines, and the DAGGER. Finding and crafting the right props for the photoshoot was like treasure hunt. 🤩

On side note, she said asking for refund is impossible since the order is being processed. 4 yrs passes and still being in process? Like, they do production in Mars? That is most ridiculous excuse. Sth really smell fishy here.
A member in local bjd commu reports she’s been waiting for a fullset doll to be shipped for over 4 yrs now. That is insane lead time. I would never be that patient. The insane delay is on both the manufacturer side and the proxy side. But 4yrs-wait despite the company keeps birthing new dolls? wtf.
Picked up Mr. Mustang today. He looks so fine, no scars like he has never been in pieces b4. AMAZING. His only scar is in his tummy where he was c-sectioned (i mean, they opened him up to fill his inside with glass fiber. The fiber glued and strengthen him from the inside.) Perfect craftsmanship. 🏆
Sartoria J is doing Hamlet collection. I wish they could release the costume as optional.

Mr. Mustang healing is doing fine. Neat repair job indeed. He’ll be back in time to celebrate the year of the horse. 🐎 For safety first, my savage kitty will not be allowed near him anymore.
The studio staff joked “Look, another horse coming in!” 😂😂

Was visiting the studio where Mustang the mighty stead was sent for repair. 🐎 As expected of the year of the horse, the studio is filled with various horse models and horse sculptures in process. Most are for auspicious deco. Asian folks are so supernatural. 😂
The repair will take about 1-2 mths.
In order to achieve nice things you have to enjoy it, indulge on it to the point where you wholeheartedly push yourself farther down the rabbit hole. 😂🐰
All these years i keep repeating and somehow able to grasp some lessons. Doll hobby leads me to another hobby: photography. I have yet to master anything but i have passion to better my photos, to achieve /nice/ doll photography.
For me, it’s best to start on the basic: the composition and color theory. Carefully plan a photoshoot in interesting composition and color palettes can be useful reference. As an amateur, i studied from films, tv series, magazine ads, trying to mimic their professional techniques.
A member in local doll commu has posted asking for a tip to nice doll photography. That is a tricky question by how and what do we define /nice/ photo as beauty is subjective. Some may suggest adjust camera gears, apply lighting gears, how to post, how to etc.

Idea behind photos
Unlike traditional Juliet’s funeral white dress, i use red and green, the rose color, since she is the blooming rose. 🌹 Red is of Capulet color, of passionate love and Absinthe green signifies both poison & death. Other visual elements are the vial, cross, rose vine.

I strangely do enjoy spending hours hunching over my ancient pc piecing together dollie pics into a super short 2 min mv clip. Took me like forever to finish the clip but I’m happy so the ungodly hours were not completely wasted. Well, that’s how hobby works. #BJD
I no longer draw or paint but the new “welcome to freely steal others’s artwork” antic in X is real suck. Why does the new norm prioritize thefts and imposters to real human artists? Our hard-gained labor robbed by any dimwit with wifi in a simple click. This is ABSURD.
Been on pinterest for artistic setting idea for new thai-themed photoshoot. Then went on watching movies for more research. Some new NF blockbusters have wonderful visuals but acting and plot is somewhat erratic. Now i found myself rooted for old tv shows. More accurate backgrounds & pro actors. 😂

Kudos to my seamstress friend. The customized costume is made of silk in the right indigo hue and of authentic thai woven fabrics.
New fitting for Thai costume theme gallery. I picked this BJD cosplay of famous Thai tv show บุพเพสันนิวาส2. The costume has elements from Victorian fashion. An interesting East meets West golden era. This is an ongoing project from earlier thai-themed Lanna Rhapsody.

Update on the resurrection plan for Mr. Mustang. Have contacted an expert on sculpture. It is confirmed he can be fixed tho it'll sure be time consuming task. He'll be stuffed with some filler(?) in his tummy. I have no idea what it'll be like but guess it's good news anyway.
