The Litigant Portal Is Looking for Its First Court Partners Free Law Project has released an RFP for the founding court cohort of the Litigant Portal, a guided legal navigation platform for self-represented litigants. Letters of interest are due May 1, 2026.

Do you know a decision-maker in a court, like a judge or chief executive? If so, please encourage them to join us in the development of a new tool to help self-represented litigants find justice.

We're using a micro-RFP to identify the right court partners. Please share! free.law/2026/03/31/l...

This is such a great conference, a must attend for those working in access to justice tech. It's chock full of all the people who care, who are doing the things, and who want to collaborate and build a better legal system. Propose a session (due tomorrow) or plan to attend in October!

Thrilled doesn't cover it: our new Justice Initiatives division just won an AWS Imagine Grant. I'm so excited to see the Litigant Portal come to life. Building on 30+ years of #legalaid and #court #a2jtech with cutting edge gen AI + @free.law's open data to help self-represented litigants.
