I started reading @victoriatran.bsky.social 's book "Mastering Community Management" during a recent trip. I'm still only a few chapters in, but it's a great read! Definitely recommend it to any current or aspiring CM โ even those outside gaming, but especially for those in that industry!
Heck yeah!
This is a dance off. If you see this repost a dance.

Not the photo of the bag โ the image on the bag looks very AI-generated
Is this image AI slop?
now proceed from there into the lyrics of "What I've Done" by Linkin Park
You know, I always knew those kinds of games were rigged in general, but I didn't realize they were so... idk, deliberately and clearly rigged. Like, I figured they would be inconsistent, but I didn't realize they were programmed to only give out prizes/win at a specifically set rate.
Who knew the US president's cabinet was made up of girly jobs?
Happy to offer my editing services! (Or my community management services.) ๐
Makes sense! My family was upper middle-class and we did tour some colleges, most of which I didn't end up getting into... Then the ones I did actually get accepted to, I toured after I got accepted, which did actually help me decide which one I wanted to go to.
Ah sorry, I misunderstood
A banner that reads "Game Workers Conference" in white text on a pink and blue background, alongside the ball and threads logo.
Do you work in games? Are you tired of corporate greed taking over our industry? Do you miss when industry events were by workers, for workers?

My only exposure to that game is from a Game Grumps video. Wild stuff.
According to Wikipedia: "In both book and serial formats, the novel was first titled *Ten Little [Slur]s* in the UK, but *And Then There Were None* in the United States." I don't see any mention there of it using the title with the slur in the US, only that the UK finally switched away in 1985.
To be fair, I'm pretty sure WaPo was propaganda even before the current administration was first in office
No but it is a very silly and fun-looking game
I read a few of the books as a kid. I really need to go back and reread the whole series.

I'm sure OpenAI was like "people will be able to do this anyway, you may as well work with us to make our IP-theft legal".
Admittedly having done zero research into it, I would speculate that Tesla/Musk probably made a deal with his family/paid them off.
Right? Even if it's not what the current bills do, the same infrastructure can almost always be weaponized to do worse things by a future government.
I feel like folks commonly elide the "I" in sentences like that, e.g. "did a thing"
whenever folks talk about harry potter and separating artist from art they always have this indignant 'OH SO IM A BAD FOR BUYING THESE BOOKS?' but thats not the real issue. the reality is that many will BELIEVE you are bad, and that is VALID. its not your choice what others think of you
Sorry to everyone affected by the Epic Games layoffs. I feel your pain (having just been laid off myself). Let me know how I can help!
I need to go through and read through them properly! I read a few when I was a kid, and I know they're good / a commentary on war and such. Just haven't made the effort to read them as an adult.
Hopefully, if any of them go into artistic fields, they can use that stuff in their portfolios! Seems like it'd be a huge asset.
