I deeply appreciate the support you've given so far, and I will continue to follow the project's development, albeit now from a different role.
This will be my last post as Dana on this Ink Console account.

With this new direction, I have decided to step aside so the project can continue progressing under a new launch strategy. This marks a transition in the project's direction, but the commitment to the original goal of building a creator community remains the same.

I inform you that we will no longer proceed with the CrowdSupply campaign we had planned. We've received an offer that will guide the project forward without anyone needing to risk their money.

Dear community, 🙏
Thanks to the incredible reception we've received on social media and in the press, Ink Console has gained overwhelming visibility in record time. This exposure has led to an unexpected proposal, which has prompted me to make an important decision:

The number of emails with support and questions received is incredible. I am overwhelmed. Totally overwhelmed. We have gone from 5 emails to +50 emails a day! Please know that I am completely alone in the project at the moment and I am not able to give you a quick response. 🙏
Thanks!

Thanks. Yes, I see that this has caused a lot of confusion, and it really is a hardware for people to create and share their own gamebooks (mine are irrelevant).
I have given a more straightforward layout to the website on this point.
Thanks for your message.

Hi Michael.
On the left, a Joystick (psp style). On the right, a button.

I would love to, but for a definitive price you should wait until March 1st. 🙏🏻
Thank you for your patience.

1 Zork is a tribute/homage game.
As you know, it is not a protected trademark, and the game does not infringe any copyright.
2 each creator is free to create (this will not be a topic of debate in 2 or 3 years).
3 due to commitments with other companies

Free destructive criticism.

You can ask John directly. I'm sure he'll tell you some shady things about me! 😂
I'm talking about contemporary boxed Game Boy games. I started with the first ones, in 2018, whether you like it or not.

But we don't have the Gamebook Store enabled yet! That's fine, I didn't expect everyone to like the console. I built it for my son, basically, and I shared it in case anyone else likes it. Everything is open source, hardware included, so if you're skilled, you can build it yourself. That's all.

Just in case

I continue, Zork is not a registered trademark, and the game does not infringe copyright.
The Ink Console brand is a registered trademark, Ink obviously stands for ink, like the screen it has.

Has anyone had the sense to look up Singular 9 Limited in the Hong Kong registry and confirm the address?
What does the use of AI on some of the covers have to do with the veracity of the project? All game images have been created by hand, and the AI usage policy is in the FAQ.

I admit that this is the funniest thread I've ever read related to Ink Console and myself! ☺️ Did you know about the business centers?

I'm surprised that with the amount of hand-made art, like my Gameboy style for half a decade now, you only highlight some of the box art in AI.
I've added some FAQs regarding this.
Thanks for commenting anyway 🙌

La principal inspiración para crear el sistema fue mejorar el habito de lectura de mi hijo, .. y pasó de no leer un solo libro a pedirme nuevas creaciones cada semana!
Por lo menos, en los más peques, ha funcionado de maravilla!

The current microcontroller used in Ink Console (ESP32) has a WiFi module and a Bluetooth module, so that would be possible with the current specs

Loved community: Would you consider an external, attachable mini keyboard-type module for conversational games in Ink Console? Being open source, hardware could be created for a multitude of other ideas. I love games that require entering written instructions (example image)
Please, let me know

I wonder the same thing! 🙏🏻
Thanks for the mention! 🙌🏻

Sure! It makes sense.

In fact, I will propose a mini keyboard as an external hardware (module) for conversational games! I promise to evaluate it

Personally, I wanted to keep a big screen because these are games that need to be read, and it should be compatible with long comfortable readings. Since they are not animated games, not many inputs are needed,a couple of joysticks w buttons, although for conversational games, I miss a mini keyboard

Yes, it depends on the final version of the e-ink screen, since thanks to the visibility of the project, other manufacturers have sent us new e-ink screens. Of course, these are reasonable rates for a comfortable gaming experience.

Yes. Ink Consoles (ESP32) has a WiFi module.
The main idea is to connect to the Gamebook Store.

Hi!
Yes, launching the Gamebook Store is planned. In fact, the microcontroller already has a WiFi module to make it possible.

That said, the essence of the system is not my gamebooks, but the gamebooks of any creator who wants to create, with AI, without AI, with their children, as a couple, alone, or however they want. Create with complete freedom.

I appreciate that question, as it's a fairly common one these days.
My goal was to explore the creative possibilities that technology offers, combining it with other aspects of design and programming, and all open source.
Ink Console doesn't run proprietary games, but anyone can create gamebooks (1)
