The tempo/timing is fluid but sometimes that also gets written down :3 I really love this system and kinda want to use something like it elsewhere! it leaves a lot of room for interpretation AND SPECIFICITY. For me this is a very animalistic way to read music ^^

soo I think of alternate ways of writing music often and a lot. The notation for shakuhachi centers on a mostly pentatonic scale with the notes ロッレチand リ corresponding to each of the five holes in the flute. The music is read top to bottom, right to left and all the bendy lines show pitch bends!
