We saw the @dragapella.com at a sold out show in Silverlake tonight. They are even more amazing in person than they are on their cds and dvds. I’d say see their shows in Palm Springs this weekend, but they are apparently sold out. Highly recommended!!!

We just watched the new "Muppet Show" It's not flawless -- but flawless wouldn't be very Muppets. I hope they make more. It was a lot of fun!

Lots of firsts today. First time swimming since incomplete physical therapy and first time swimming in my new Garmin watch that can track my swimming.

First bike ride of the year. (And first bike ride since I finished physical therapy I think). Not fast, but very pleasant.

Why do the students emailing me this week suddenly care about their grade? Why don’t they care when there was extra credit available? Why didn’t they care enough to turn in all the work/turn in the work on time? I’m pretty generous with late work, but you do miss out on points when late.

Why does every other student email begin “I know you said you wouldn’t accept this late, but” ?

Grades are done for one class. The biggest indicator of success seems to be turning in work. (Which gets you feed back so your next assignment is better, which gets you feed back so …

I managed to catch COVID again. Except for a sore throat and headache I felt ok until about 5 PM yesterday -- then I was freezing, while sweating (and all bundled up). I woke up feeling ok-ish, but I just got back from walking the dog and I'm winded. UGH!

We just saw “Jaja’s African Hair Braiding “ at the Mark Taper Forum. The production is excellent (but try not to sit too far to the side). Very highly recommended. Catch it if you can. Funny and very moving, incredibly well performed.
