The event kicked off with a ceremonial puck drop between Schulich Law Associate Professor and Associate Dean, Research Jamie Baxter (and his kids) and UNB Law Associate Dean Benjamin Perryman, and a national anthem performed by Schulich Law 3L student Finn Mitra.
The event, organized by the Schulich Sports Committee in collaboration with UNB Law, raised $5,075 in support of Special Olympics Halifax, who had over 25 staff, volunteers, and athletes in attendance to take in the action and cheer on the teams.
Congratulations to Schulich Law’s hockey team who defeated UNB Law 5-2 in front of a packed house of more than 400 fans at Dalhousie’s brand new arena, the Oulton‑Stanish Centre on Saturday, March 14. This marked the first win for the black and gold at their third annual charity hockey game.
