In Labour history, the only people who have ever truly believed in the processes and structures of the Labour Party are the losers. It's interesting that Burnham considers this the nuclear option as opposed to announcing that he would run for leader while a contest takes place and seek a seat with Starmer as an outgoing PM. Instead he's relying on the process yet again to gift him the job

Genuinely the only argument I can understand re Platner is it's insane his only real competition is a 78 year old. But the notion that Millennial Libs of Bluesky™ should just get over it and give a second chance to someone who is insisting he's still on his first is nuts
