The recent campaign to "save" the precinct has made me lose my mind a bit

Ed Miliband being mentioned seriously as a candidate for PM, Francois Hollande running for President again. The piss weak social democrats of 2012 are back and they're turning up the volume!

Mikel Arteta doesn't do cringe team talks anymore he just looks at the Arsenal squad like this

Watched the game today and by far the funniest thing is they really tried, for the most part dominated Brighton but just conceded twice because it's in their nature

Spurs thinking they're too good for Sean Dyche and getting relegated with De Zerbi is very funny

Harry Potter (he wouldn't elaborate which one)

After he leaves office:

Affliction (1997)
Fences (2016)

I also think there's something very funny about someone from Manchester inventing conservatism from first principles likely because they've only ever seen it in a national context.

Gen Z Michael Moore but her chosen subject is nimbyism & cutting council spending instead of the decline of manufacturing & school shootings

In this case I was able to find a suitable screw. The main things to find is the same size head, and the donor screw can be slightly shorter in some instances but can almost never be longer

One of the more tedious tasks of watchmaking - sourcing missing screws. Because parts aren't standardised, short of making new ones on a lathe your best bet is attempting to find a close fit from an assortment

One of the most common issues I come across is parts that have been handled incorrectly, especially dials. With dials if you touch them in any way, they stay touched forever. With this Seiko I was able to clear some fingerprints but the damage done is permanent

Every time I tell someone about running they ask "are you training for a half marathon?" - running with other people? At a set time? On a specific day rather than when I feel like it? For a predetermined length not just whatever I'm feeling that day?

Hell is (running with) other people

It's incredibly stale. Every time they do something big they return it to the status quo within a couple of episodes of the next season - and no one is really dead if they have a big enough fan base...

2/3rds of the way through Cities of the Plain and it's becoming increasingly clear that McCarthy is working towards the specific scenario which attempts to justify an adult trafficking a 16 year old girl they're in love with across the US-Mexico border

But if Burnham followed through on his threat and was blocked again he would've ended his political career for nothing. If he's not willing to openly say he wants to be an MP again because he wants to run for PM, it's difficult to understand what exactly he thinks blowing himself up would achieve

In Labour history, the only people who have ever truly believed in the processes and structures of the Labour Party are the losers. The winners understand that if you have the power, the structures can be bent to your will - it's obviously not democratic, not fair, and produces a lot of toxicity...

It's interesting that Burnham considers this the nuclear option as opposed to announcing that he would run for leader while a contest takes place and seek a seat with Starmer as an outgoing PM. Instead he's relying on the process yet again to gift him the job

Even if you want to park the morality behind excusing him for having the tattoo, & making horrible comments (idk why you would), politics is about precedent. It should worry basically every progressive-minded person that Democratic voters don't see it as a problem, it's the canary in the coal mine

Genuinely the only argument I can understand re Platner is it's insane his only real competition is a 78 year old. But the notion that Millennial Libs of Bluesky™ should just get over it and give a second chance to someone who is insisting he's still on his first is nuts
