The crisis re Straights of Hormuz is making us realise we rely on oil too much. The crisis is causing massive fertiliser shortage too. Fertilisers cause tremendous environmental damage. Farming systems/land use must change to use much less. This crisis should make us think about fertiliser use. 🧵

A fascinating Newsnight interview. Both the political journalists on the panel said that it's a competition between: broad church & appealing to voters of every party on the one hand, versus fishing in the same waters as Jeremy Corbyn on the other. A very clear choice, I'd say.
