Amazing! I was in a rut working on mine but you got me amped to get back to work. Is there somewhere you could share the deck you used for your voice casting by chance?

Almost finished putting together what I need for my simple dialogue system just need to clean up some of the event triggering stuff but my brains pooped out so I think I'm going to take a break for the day and slowly finish everything up over the week

I’d say to lead with your hook and to appeal to your core audience … mine is narrative driven set in the 90’s. My core audience is millennials who experienced the 90s as teens. Attached mine… well the first 60 seconds at least. Trust your gut and walk away if you’re stuck. The answer will come.

Another Inktober flashback… for this year I illustrated a new character from the first few seasons of #rickandmorty every single day throughout the month of October.

Flashback to an old #inktober piece I illustrated. I’m a big fan of teen movies so I dedicated 31 straight days to illustrating characters from then movies of the 90s, 80s, and 00s. The original was 11x17 illustrated in ink and copic marker on Bristol paper.

If I could time travel, my first trip would be to get discontinued snacks and food. Rice Krispies Treat Cereal, Surge, pudding Pops…

Can’t have a video game set in 1998 without a level taking place in a comic shop. #gamedev

Just a solo game dev from Austin TX making an indie video game looking for some followers who love cozy games and the 90’s. My game is called FRIDAY NIGHT 1998 and if you’d like to go to go back to a video store on a chilly Friday night, then my game might be for you. #videogames #indiegames

Looking for other game devs, Austin TX peeps, artists, graphic designers, and writers who jumped ship from that other place.

The “other” video store level is another one of my favorites. Every town had one and the horror section was always fire. #gamedev

One of my first #pixelart animations that eventually took me down the path to #gamedev. The Torchy’s Taco trailer at sunset.

Any fans of NHL ‘94 and Shoresy? This is a little piece I knocked out a few days ago while in a game dev rut.

Made a video on my YouTube channel about this very subject (pertaining only to season 1, but still)

The video game I’m solo developing is set in 1998 so you bet your ass there is. Level set in a record store. This store is based on Endless Horizons, an old record store/head shop in West Texas that closed last year. Had to honor it somehow.

More art for you cool people. Any #alwayssunny fans out there. This was one of the first pieces I did on Procreate so I see a ton of things I’d change but overall, still very happy with this one.

Between game dev, one of my favorite things is concepting video games I’d love to see in real life. This is my version of #bobsburgers in the style of the 90’s Simpsons arcade game. This game would take so many of my quarters if it were real! #videogames

My first post is sharing the video game I’m currently solo developing: FRIDAY NIGHT 1998, a retro narrative driven point and click game. Hoping to connect with others in #gamedev
