Remember Clubhouse during the pandemic?
Posts by Marcus Anthony Cyganiak
Update: I just bought four new web domains that I will use for new content sites. Go with @wordpress.org, the usual, or jump into @emdashcms.com by @cloudflare.social like it's 2009 all over again?
The Artemis II crew captured this beautiful, high-resolution photo with a Nikon D5 of our home planet, Earth, during their journey to the Moon, and now it’s my iPhone wallpaper.

Best Sonic game!
I have no immediate plans to deploy @emdashcms.com on any of my websites, as they all use @wordpress.org, which I’ve been using on my oldest site since 2009. I will be following the project, though, and rooting for EmDash to competitively push WordPress and the CMS industry forward.
This could be the start of something wonderful. It reminds me of when I started using WordPress in 2009.
I'm getting vibes of 2009, when I started using WordPress. This could be the start of something wonderful with EmDash.

I'm surprised WordPress doesn't yet have the native ability to create Custom Post Types and Taxonomies in its dashboard. The new EmDash CMS has both on day one.
The new EmDash CMS has clean dashboard settings for your website, including Social Links and SEO. WordPress could and should have been incorporating such fields long ago.
This is a nice feature out of the gate with EmDash CMS – SEO fields in the post editor.
It's surprising that WordPress does not natively have this, as plugins or custom code are still the only way to incorporate such measures for 40% of all websites.

I want to use ChatGPT Atlas, but I can't because the mouse cursor lags, feeling disconnected (something I've never experienced in other browsers), and scrolling is not smooth, altogether making for a horrendous sputtering UI. Perplexity Comet puts it to shame.
The more I use open-source Matomo Analytics, the more I realise how underrated it is, because it’s one of those products that gets used, but is hardly mentioned on social media. I have it installed on-premise, via my dedicated server in Switzerland, away from the prying eyes of Google and Microsoft.

In the last week, I spent a daily average of only 8 minutes on Instagram. That’s called being productive.

Today, they run on a true dedicated server under my full-stack control, with AI assistance from Claude. Digital sovereignty has never felt better.
Before President Trump started talking about turning Canada into America’s 51st state and threatening to take Greenland from Denmark, I had already relocated @solespire.com's websites and web apps out of the United States, from California to Switzerland.

And have you cancelled ChatGPT?
Gary, thanks for still being there for all of us entrepreneurs, all trying to make things happen, after all these years. You’re a real one.
Keep going!
I’ll be studying his next videos, upon utilising bits and parts of what he’s promoting, in applying those strategies with my own, upon deploying a new publishing plan on all the platforms that we traditionally call social media.
But after watching that video, I’m interested in that new “interest media” angle he coined, thus Gary Vaynerchuk has managed to re-capture my interest in his messaging, so I’m back, re-subscribed to GaryVee.
That was no slight on Gary, it’s just that focus is a big key attribute in what I do, with the everlasting goal of simplifying my processes, in getting my outputs to be as refined as humanly possible.
I tend to clean up who I’m subscribed to on YouTube, and admittedly, I unsubscribed from GaryVee many years ago, as I don’t need noise coming at me from every direction when I am no longer interested in the particular messaging.
I’m now married, living on two continents, but social media has also always worked for my businesses in supplementary ways, namely via Facebook, and later Instagram, with it being the core platform we use, but there’s so much more—TikTok, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads, Telegram, WhatsApp, and X.
