Cosmo the Seedrian provides Tails the Fox with a presentation on why he likes Tails' chonkiness and fluff the way it is. Cosmo's eyes are closed as she gestures with one hand, a single finger pointed upward while making her point. The diagram behind her shows a side view of Tails, showcasing his muzzle, body, and tails. Various words are shown around the diagram with arrows connecting them to various aspects of the Tails model. Attorneys can definitely negotiate down tax debt and compromise with the IRS. I've seen it happen. I've also seen middle class households and small businesses owe tens of thousands due to mismanagement, poor planning, negligence, or simply not knowing about payment plans or being too afraid to file.

You are generally correct, however, you can still be found criminally liable if you go years without filing and you owe tens of thousands. Someone whose tax liability is relatively small would likely not be prosecuted or charged.

Congress in 2026 and President in 2028. Those funds should be used for the betterment of everyone (universal healthcare, Green New Deal, universal basic income, free college, free childcare, free preschool, etc). If most other industrialized countries can do it, so can we. (2/2)

Once again, and especially as a blue state resident myself, I 100% agree. The issue is that a failure to pay income taxes can lead to penalty/interest and, depending on severity and extended period of noncompliance, criminal charges.

States have no control over federal income taxes; the money is either withheld by employers and then sent to the IRS or paid to the IRS directly by taxpayers.

While I like the concept of your plan, the reality is that it would violate federal law.
