It's always fun to see CorridorDigital crew breakdown our VFX, this time for Jurassic World Rebirth. Appreciate their appreciation for all the hard water work we had to do and the magical compositing doneπAnd of course Universal giving thorough breakdowns of all our work π

An absolute delight to experience the premiere of #JurassicWorldRebirth in NYC w/ our @ILMVFX team on the show π It was over a year of hard work but so rewarding seeing the audience react w/ so much fun to the film, they were literally cheering after each dino! July 2, enjoy!
Really nice feature from Kodak about #JurassicWorldRebirth being shot on film! It's been awhile since I've done a project on film but emulating as much of the film qualities and details onto our VFX was a beautiful challenge π

My reasons for ever coming back grow smaller and smaller everyday :/
That episode 3 was so powerful
This show needs all the praise
Also huge plus that Michael is just a genuinely good guy and director. He knew how much VFX was needed on Quiet Place and really included us and leaned on us to try and get the best results. Really excited for his future projects!
I wasn't aware I was leaving too π
It was ok, and I worked on it π but it was also during the pandemic and having a society wiped by a mysterious plague felt too on the nose
β₯οΈ you two match! Rango was a damn good time
Alright folks, you wanted dinos, we're giving you something special π
This is just a glimpse, there's soooo much more to come! ππ¦π¦

it's too much π every shot doesn't need it
I think you should give it a shot ;)
Ooooo didn't realize it'll be Wednesday but can't wait to show y'all what we've been wrangling together π€

We loved making this sequence π
Discord probably
personally I love my Pixel, but the lidar scanning on iPhone for being on set is great to have, personal vs work phone?
I'm a nerd and kept them all cause it was def a fun time! We should really consider bringing it back π€
The second tradition were "End of Show" awards. There would be categories like best animation, best lighting, best overall shot, etc. and everyone in the show would vote. Those who won got little fun ILM logo bulbs. There were honorable categories that also got print outs instead π
1st off is the "faux" money which was given out every project. If you swung by the prod office they would give you one & you could redeem it at our coffee shop "Javva the Hutt" (RIP π)
As I'm about to hit my 18yr work anniversary with ILM/Lucasfilm, I so happen to be back in SF and was cleaning out my storage. Stumbled upon some ILM traditions no longer celebrated but thought would be a fun share, lol and behold π§΅:
Has anyone started a VFX starter pack on here? Would love to follow more fellow VFX and film folks!
all the setting files I used to setup for all these ingest/load formats and figuring out the right conform for us. Def don't miss some of those imax/ana/iphone/GoPro Transformers days π
Do I dare to say, I love the softness too. All it's imperfections feels more organic to me compared to the sharp clarity of digital.
The amount of extra work required to do post conversion 3D is insane, but this was one of the few projects I'm most proud of our conversion work. We developed some damn solid workflows and processes that's still used today in ILM pipe and that was 11 years ago! π± GDT said it best, go see it!
solid meal π
oh finally a category I can vote for π
Hello! It's me again talking about #StarWars & #Lucasfilm legacy alongside my fab colleagues @julesfoddy.bsky.social @stefdrury.bsky.social Dave Zaretti βοΈ
