Getting everyone to show up to a weekly band practice is exactly like trying to get everyone to show up to a weekly D&D game.

If someone puts a service dog harness and tag on their untrained pet is that stolen valor?
Guys I didn't want you to find out this way but don't put me in charge of anything because I'm super soft on crime.
Oh snap I missed this one. Ok we're playing Black Horse and the Cherry Tree by KT Tunstall and it barely has any bass in it so I learned this one before we even left practice.

Our singer said she wanted to do at least one Cure track so I lobbied for Lovesong because it's one of the best baselines ever. Repetitive? Yes. Fun? Very.

We are playing Celebrity Skin by Hole which has a very fun lil groove that I don't know I ever really paid attention to before. It's pretty varied so I'm probably at ⭐⭐⭐⭐

By my request, we're playing Head Over Heels by Tears for Fears. This is bar none my fave bass line of the 80s so I walked into the band already knowing this one ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We're playing Radio Free Europe by REM and I don't know that I'd even heard it before learning it. But it's probably one of my fave bass lines to play now. I've got it down ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I didn't bother to ask myself what system I was using.
We're playing The Middle by Jimmy Eat World and since it's the easiest bass line we play I'd rate myself as ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
(We're going to assume a 5 star rating system)

You're all dead to me
Hi my band decided at our last practice to learn about 20 new songs because the old setlist wasn't the vibe. Reply to this and I'll tell you one of the songs and how comfortable I am that I know how to play it after about 7 days of solo practice.
A WHOLE CIVILIZATION WILL DIE TONIGHT My son needs lunch, and I have to put his backpack together, but a whole civilization will die tonight, so I'm wondering if they've closed their schools. Like, a snow day, maybe, except instead of snow it's "keep your children home so if you die, you die together" — instead of "well open back up once the plows have cleared" it's "we don't know if we'll be here tomorrow, hold your babies tight." It's just "talk" I'm told, which I've been told before. "It's how the president makes his deals." But I've never heard anyone talk about other human beings this way, and I'm not certain I can look my son in the eyes if we all agree to stomach it one more time. A civilization will die tonight, but as I zip up his backpack and kiss him off to school I think: if this is what we call leadership then I'm not entirely sure ours isn't already dead. @michaelfdubois Mukad A QuBoy @michacifdubois
Brutal.
I am SO TIRED today and I'm lamenting the fact that I'm raw-dogging life because caffeine is a literal wonderdrug being kept from me by big cardiology.
Reality, probably
"I just think if the author wanted me to read this part they'd have put it in the climax and not the denouement."
Literally JenCon.
Not enough people are buried in pyramids these days, I posit.
Oooooh boy you'd have fit right in with early 2000's mortgage brokers.
Too late! The damage is done and I doubt all my preferences now!
I was ADAMANT when Jack was a baby that this is the exact reason everyone has kids in their 20s, because your joints are too loud to sneak away in your 30s.
Oh that's fun!
One time I left a company and the boss went to jail for subprime mortgage fraud
I saw an ex coworker out in the wild today and they told me how terrible things have gotten at my old job and I just wish that gift for each and every one of you.
Tomorrow is Trans Day of Visibility, but remember: trans people aren't just visible, they are also tangible. That means they can kick you in the junk if you deserve it.
Sounds like "It Ends"
Update: Too late I ate it all myself.
Who wants to recreate Lady and the Tramp with a $1.50 Costco hot dog?
If someone went through the effort of pouring it for me I'm going to do right by them and drink the whole thing.
