Out into the countryside: MPI for Informatics takes part in “Heimspiel Wissenschaft” Talking about research in places where science is otherwise rarely present—that is the idea behind the event series “Heimspiel Wissenschaft.”

Science where it’s rarely present: “Heimspiel Wissenschaft” brings researchers back to their rural homes to talk about their work. @oduenkel.bsky.social spoke in Boxberg-Schwabhausen on generative AI. 86 attendees in a village of ~600 people, plus a lively Q&A.🎓

The goal of semantic correspondence estimation is to establish semantically meaningful matches across different images of an object. It turns out however that recent supervised methods generalize poorly beyond the annotated keypoints seen during training. #NeurIPS2025

In our @iccv.bsky.social work, we enhance DINO features in terms of cross-view and cross-instance consistency.

The new model is strong at semantic correspondence and is a plug-and-play replacement for any pipeline with DINO backbone.

Try it out with just a single line of code.

For my first post on Bluesky, this recent talk I did at the recent BMVA one day meeting on World Models is a good summary of my work on Computer Vision, Robotics and SLAM, and my thoughts on a bigger picture of #SpatialAI.
