Eid Mubarak to fellow Muslims! May your prayers be answered and your patience accepted. Holding close the detained students who canât be with their families this Eid. When free speech is silenced our collective future becomes dimmer #eidmubarak
Colleges are supposed to be spaces for bold ideas and uncomfortable truths. Now they fold the minute politics gets involved. Sadly, when learning stops being protected so does the future.
Everything from assaults on immigrants to the detention of students feels like we are stuck in a never ending Twilight Zone. The same cruelty, just repackaged, every single day!
Ramzan Mubarak to all observing! Wishing fellow Muslims a month filled w/ reflection, gratitude, & community. A gentle reminder to be kind & intentional with your Muslim neighbors, friends & coworkers who are fasting. Not all Muslims fast, so avoid intrusive questionsâextend grace & understandingđđ
@jjgreenjr.bsky.social thank you for a fantastic conversation!! Canât wait to listen to our full interviewâ¨
Excited to be a blue ribbon judge for this yearâs #Ambies! If youâre a podcaster with work youâre proud of, submit it! Letâs celebrate the power of storytelling and amplify the voices shaping our world!
Thanksgiving carries a complex legacy of colonialism & Indigenous resistance. Today I honor the pain tied to this history while also embracing gratitude, reflection, & togetherness. Whether you celebrate or abstain, I hope this season brings you peace, joy, & community #thanksgiving
When I feel low, Sheru lifts me up! My little furball of joyđžâ¤ď¸
7/ Until we fix it, the U.S. will continue to lose out on incredible talent and contributions from people who just want to a good build life here.
6/ This is our story, but itâs not unique. Millions of immigrants face similar challenges every day. The system isnât just slowâitâs dehumanizing, and desperately in need of reform.
5/ So, to those who havenât been through this process, please think twice before passing judgment or offering simplistic opinions about how people should "just come legally." Itâs not that simple.
4/ My husband had to turn down incredible job opportunit ies, including a great offer at Google, because his then-employer was sponsoring our green card. We werenât just "waiting our turn"âwe were stuck in limbo, making impossible choices while trying to build a life here.
3/The toll wasnât just bureaucraticâit was deeply personal. The mental and physical stress was exhausting. And the system forced us to make sacrifices that sting even today.
2/ It took us a decade to get our citizenship. Ten years of waiting, navigating red tape, and living in uncertaintyâall while paying taxes and contributing to the U.S. economy like any other citizen.
1/The U.S. immigration system is messed upâeven for those who go through the so-called "legal process." As someone who experienced it firsthand, let me tell you, itâs a nightmaređ§ľ

Had a riveting conversation with @petramolnar.com about the human cost of #AIBorderControl, the transactional way we view immigration, and how AI is quietly shaping our society. Itâs personal, complex, and incredibly important. Link âŹď¸
