To everyone who demanded that Dems fly back to DC to push for impeachment, 25th and/or a war powers vote:
They did. Republicans blocked it.
If you're not praising them today just as loudly as you were ripping on them a couple of days ago, guess what?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Murc's Law Meaning Only Democrats have agency Coined by Scott Lemieux, 2017 Murc’s Law is a term that describes a tendency in political journalism to attribute responsibility or agency only to Democratic Party actors, while treating Republican actions as inevitable or structurally determined.[1] The term originated in the left-wing blogosphere and has since gained traction in commentary about press bias and political framing.
Before Wikipedia deleted the article. Shame, because it was a perfect description of what's going on with the media, social and news both.

We are screwed….
A man labelled "Protest (Non)Voters" aiming a gun at his own foot labeled "Voting rights" with the caption "Teaching the Democrats a lesson." A metaphor for the leftists who desire for Democrats to lose end up only hurting themselves in the end.
Made this last year. It's aged like fine wine.
Thanks a lot, dickheads.
Yet another example of something that protest voters would have you to believe would be worse under Harris.
🗣️ PASS THE TORCH.
If Talarico loses then Democrats should’ve put up a better candidate. Right?
Because she had a funny laugh. Or something.
But that's okay cause we saved Gaza, right??
Every. Protest. Vote. Enabled. Fascism.
When you say "I won't vote for Newsom over Vance" you think you're saying "Gavin Newsom is bad, let's not nominate him." But you aren't.
You're saying "JD Vance is not that bad. Trump is not that bad. They're normal, they're fine. If they win again, it's fine."
You are supporting Trump.
The same people engaging in bad faith and false equivalence against Rep. Crockett are the same people wondering why Black people aren’t in the street protesting right now.
Y’all still ain’t learned shit.
So y’all got it.
I cannot watch any more of this. .
Fuck everyone who voted third party, who didn't vote, who told others not to vote.
Never in my lifetime will I understand how anyone can rationalize "The Democrats aren't doing enough about the problem, so I will make it easier for the Republicans who created the problems to win control of the entire government."
"you're gonna get in trouble for that"
*stone-faced*
"okay"
goddamn son
Leftists need to really consider the fact that they were less antifascist than the fucking Cheneys were.
Dick and Liz: “this is too important for normal politics, we will oppose fascism without conditions”
Leftists: “here’s our list of demands, if you meet them all we MIGHT not help fascists win”
Yep; they believe that snarling “she ran a bad campaign” is a dazzling gotcha, not recognizing that yelping that is broadcasting that THEY were the people too ignorant to read, see, or listen, & they were too dumb to grasp the most basic ramifications of their choices…& other people were smarter. 🤷♀️

Let this moment be a wakeup call to stop taking some of the far-left seriously.
Mamdani isn't good enough for them. Nor is Rep. AOC. Nor is Sen. Sanders. No one is good enough for them.
(thread)
Every time I read something like this I think about the short-sighted selfish fucks that “just couldn’t vote for” the only person that could have kept this from happening.
THIS. IS. WHY. YOU. DON'T. FUCKING. PROTEST. VOTE.
Protest voting and sitting out elections ONLY HELPS the fascists to take over.
This gets to the heart of the matter. Because when you strip them of everything else, that’s all they have left.
They think we’re on the same side, but at the same time are eternally grateful not to be Black.
And will flaunt it if given the opportunity.
The ACA could have been improved, year over year, if people had elected a Democratic majority.
We're further away from a Medicare For All program than ever, thanks to populist tantrums in 2010, 2016 and 2024.
You have to show up if you want cake.
In my decades of activism, the most unreliable people were the anarchists. Their cosplay politics meant if anything wasn't to their exact specification, the answer was to burn it all down and start over. They only helped the right wing in the end.
Yes. They were the white suburban kids. Every time.
Really drives home what "anti-genocide" people actually care about that they're protesting a book signing instead of the guy who is actively working to ethnically cleanse of Gaza. (Hint: it's keeping the guy who's doing that in office)
A lot of folks view their vote as a little gift they give to a politician who catches their fancy, rather than an act of collective action on behalf of the less fortunate. You are not giving out a rose on The Bachelor, you're acting in solidarity with millions of other people.
💯
too many doomers are honestly just licking the ground in the hopes a boot is there
Image screenshot of a tweet by Katie Hopkins where she put a sticker of a bullseye on her forehead and said "This is how it feels to be a white conservative woman." A reply in the screenshot from Cherry Juul Pod says "i actually love this metaphor because it's a fake target and you've it there yourself."
Reminds me of this classic:
