I have reentered the querying trenches and by “reentered” I mean went into QT scoped out agents whose MSWL matches my story and then got intimidated and not sent out a query ✌️

Most books open with a theme like a word or location, sometimes the author likes to end with a throwback to that. I was like cool, but rather than something you read let’s make it something you feel.

Ok. New plan team! Rewrite the ending to the one I’ve been avoiding because let’s be real—it’s perfect and inevitable. Spend the rest of the year in the query trenches and if no one bites by the first quarter of next year self publishing with a December release date!

So I’ve been working on this novel maybe 10 years and dancing around the inevitable ending for about 5 🤣 It’s just gonna have to happen but book 2 is going to be completely different because of it

So yeah…I wrote a dark fantasy. I reached out to a cover artist. I’m probably gonna spend the rest of this year in the query trenches just to see what I can see. Self publishing has always been Plan B but either way the world is gonna read my book.

I got to 19k words and I’m calling it a night!

I also got a lil spicy scene done without cringing to death so that is an accomplishment

Ok 18k 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 My plan is to write for at least an hour every day this week. I want to reach 30k by next Sunday but I know that’s a stretch since I’m usually burnt out from work.

Picked up my little project again. Removed an entire chapter so now I’m at 14000 words 🥲 I need 80000. Definitely gonna pop back in after work and add descriptions to rooms while I figure out what should happen next
