Give us the 4 hour Lord and Miller cut you cowards
MegaMovieBlog headline: "The First Edit of SPACE SUPERHERO Was 31/2 Hours Long" Yes, we call this process "filmmaking".
maybe we should stop talking about how movies are made because I don't think some people can handle the complexity of the process
60 DATES IN 6 MONTHS comes to VOD rental on April 17 & to DVD on April 21 from Freestyle Media! I pop up in this romantic comedy as Star Wars Guy (which is exactly what you think it is), and had a blast working with Katelin Chesna, original book author Maureen Anne Meehan, and director Scott Leslie.
Total insanity, that one.
After that weird crash, the sync was fixed.
That and I've got a slight sync issue that others are reporting as well.
THE LAST HAIL M.A.R.Y. is available today for VOD streaming!
Absolutely ecstatic to once again work with writer-director Marc Gottlieb for another feature from The Asylum. Starring Juliette Cecile, Esmeree Sterling, Brennen Amonett, Bianca Foscht, Mica Javier, Lei Kiryu, Bejo Dohman, & yours truly.
As good a day as any to re-post this video essay I wrote, produced and narrated for FANGORIA a little over a year ago...

“Conquest” is my fave of the original set of “Apes” flicks, a furious piece of revolutionary cinema, would never have thought the original’s O. Henry simplicity could lead to such a complex series.
DAY OF THE DEAD has surfaced on Tubi! Written & produced during Covid-our scrappy zomcom series came & went in 2021. It disappeared from broadcast & streaming until it appeared on Tubi last night! Was extremely lucky to work w/fantastic writers, w/eps directed by Steve Kostanski, incl mine!
When Rob Reiner was on his all-time epic run at the start of his career, he had an opportunity to read a script that was looking for a production partner, and he lost his mind for it. He decided Castle Rock had to have it, no matter what.
Fascinated by this--so now in ep3 of STRANGER THINGS 5, someone psychically interrogate-tortures someone w/their mind, literally walks around as an observer in the person's memories while they are in agony, which is *exactly* what Hallorann did in ep4 of DERRY...

Today marks the 10-year anniversary of the 1st day of principal photography on JACKALS. My 1st & to date only produced feature screenplay. I have a decade of complicated feelings about what it did or more accurately didn't do for my career, but I remain proud of the film, which was released in 2017.
Have only watched the 1st ep of STRANGER THINGS 5 ("The Crawl") so far, but I found it super weird that the big, central set piece of *this week's* IT: WELCOME TO DERRY ep ("Neibolt Street") was the same general concept.
This has been a yearly must-watch for me every Halloween since the '80s. I only wish that there was a version out there with the original "library cue" score.
Who robbed the Louvre? Right answers only.
The reveal of Leatherface in the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre is interesting because there is no visual build-up. You never see any prior hints of the mask or his shape. Instead, he literally and fully steps into the film to club both a character and the audience in the head with a hammer.
That "splash page" on #Tubi? The one that auto-plays a scene or the trailer for the movie in the upper corner of the screen? Yeah, so the one for SLEEPAWAY CAMP is the final-final scene from the movie.
Yes, THAT scene.

the reviews are out and it seems like the new Ed Gein series is real bad, so I feel duty bound to recommend 1974’s DERANGED instead. It’s as close to a Gein biopic as we’ve ever gotten, it is unglamorous and disturbing, and it is a fine film tbh
Something fascinating about THE FINAL TERROR is that the marketing (posters/ads and trailer) hinted that the antagonist was an alien. Spoiler alert: the killer isn't an alien, but ALIEN screenwriter Ronald Shusett (who is NOT featured in the marketing) co-wrote the script.

It was a great lineup!!
I was there too! It was a little rough at 4am but I loved seeing it on the big screen!
