Because Prince was ageless, we thought he was immortal, but he wasn’t. He was very mortal. But his music is immortal. We were all lucky to live in the same time and place with the Purple One for as long as we all did. RIP you Sexy MF. 👁️ will always miss U #Prince4Ever

Almost every pop act in America, especially then, had a specific demographic. Not Prince. The rock fans loved him, the dance music people loved him, the R&B people loved him. Every race & orientation loved him, as long as you liked things a little bit snarky and a lot sexy, Prince’s music spoke 2 U

He wasn’t gay, in fact very the opposite, but whether he liked it or not, he was a queer icon. He exuded non-binary energy before we knew the term. “I’m not a woman/I’m not a man/I am something that you’ll never understand.” Yes, that was about Jesus, but also, I think we know he meant himself too

I was lucky enough to see him 5 times in concert, including 3 times during his 2011 residency at the Forum. That first night, the casuals didn’t know that when he was in the mood, he’d still play deep cuts when the house lights were on and they were cleaning the stage, even for a handful of fans. 💜

🧵It’s 10 years since #Prince left us. I still remember my brother, who gave me my first Prince mix tape when I was 9, calling me. I picked up the phone & heard him say with disbelief “I think… I think Prince is dead.” In the decade since, not more then a few days has gone by without listening to O+>

When I was a child I dreamed that maybe - MAYBE - there might be an X-Men movie someday. The reflexive cynicism (that’s not from just film snobs) comes from folks who grew up in a world where this is all just “the way it is.“ We remember when it was a world where it wasn’t possible.

Ain’t that sumthin? And she’s been called “grandma” by the press since she was 34, which is fucking insane.

I remember this! I'm glad she has accepted Nomi in her middle age years. #DancinAintFuckin

You have no idea how much I want to see the movie where Nomi the Vampire Slayer must face her undead foe, a vampified Cristal Conners.

They started him as Jane's business partner/new bf, then out of left field they made him a rapist, and Jane and Syndey tried to kill him, and he rose from the grave to get revenge. It was a very peak Melrose Place era ridiculous plotline.

RIP Patrick Muldoon. 57 is far too young. Maybe this is morbid to post now, but I will mostly remember your hand rising from the grave after problematic sisters Jane & Sydney killed you, not really knowing you were still alive in the Melrose Place season 4 finale. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghEe...

Hopefully they reprint the Absolute Edition. I still have mine, but this is a book that should never be OOP.

I’m not usually into “What If?” Comics, but I’m gonna say it again, I am very here for “What If Cyclops never left his wife and newborn son to go see about his recently resurrected ex girlfriend that his wife was cloned from.” Day one purchase.

Also, that.

He never died, he just aged normally after going into the past. He’s only “dead” to the world at large.

Cap is not dead. He’s just old. And a younger version of him exists in the past.

“If she knew she was going into the light, it’s a perfect outfit.”

Sometimes, on a lazy Sunday afternoon, the YouTube algorithm knows just what I need. And today, it was a middle aged gay man and his lady bestie judging the fashion choices in Poltergeist. youtu.be/QLX27WF-bE0?...

I just realized that #AvengersDoomsday will be Chris Evans’ third time fighting a Doctor Doom. 👀

I’m looking forward to X-Men ‘97 more than any live action marvel this year, maybe with the exception of Doomsday 🤷‍♂️

It would be a loose adaptation anyway. Like when the MCU adapted Civil War. Just the basic premise I’d imagine

I don’t know, but god does it ever trigger a pure dopamine release in my brain now, I’ll tell you that.

Sometimes the internet produces things that feel made only for me. Like this. #Buffy #Madonna (vid from @brooooshua on IG)

I do too, BUT if you’re gonna have a story take place within a decade of RotJ with major galactic implications, like a Thrawn invasion, it stands to reason the Skywalkers would be involved somehow.

It’s a joke, I don’t believe in any of that 🤣

Just finished the “Inside the Manosphere” documentary on Netflix. I shudder thinking this is the world I’m gonna grow old in. This doc made me wanna find a way off this planet ASAP.
