Agree! My 3rd one (in 7 years) is on the way. My old one completely fell apart in unrepairable ways, but I RODE that thing! This new one folds in half for easy storage.

As someone with a dynamic disability, they are life savers. I can always use an ebike to get where I’m going, even when my body is like “nope.” My beef is yelling on your left! on your left! …and people not moving over. Noise canceling headphones—which generally, I love those too.

The whole eval was clearly politically motivated—to make sure the university is in line with conservative values. Less interest in actual learning. Student evals are mostly trash anyway, but this is truly nonsense/useless compliance to the conservative overlords unable to comprehend free thought.

I felt pressure to say yes because woe to the faculty member that gets flagged as being “biased.” This question exists because the clowns in the Ohio statehouse are killing public universities. My yes is also true because nothing false was presented. But it sure would make old white men upset.

I’m doing an online #MSW and the instructor eval has this question: “Does the faculty member create a classroom atmosphere free of political, racial, gender, and religious bias?”

Um, this is social work— we basically spent a semester discussing the ways the US’s systems are oppressive.

That makes such a huge difference. Our national conference is like 20k people always in a huge sprawling conference center and just…gross.

I have a paper that’s been submitted to four journals. 3 got back to me with a reject in 1-2 weeks. The 4th took three months. I had put off even trying that journal knowing it was a slow one, but it was the best fit for the article. I have two other pubs in it that took nearly 2 years. Wtf.
