"Stealing" someone's partner is nasty work.
Stealing someone's best friend, though? I'm not proud of it but someone's got to do it.
A digital painting of Eevee. In the morning, a moment in the living room. A grumpy eevee on the sofa is being petted.

My boyfriend when I've been reading my book too long and not giving him enough attention:

I think you're absolutely right and I can relate to this!
I always viewed that as someone not having a strong enough identity, so they tend to rely on their interests to be a forefront for that identity as opposed to developing themselves.
Might be armchairing a bit on that, but I used to be similar when I was younger --
"Explain to me why I should enjoy this thing you like."
No? Just go consume what you enjoy?
I think people sometimes forget that opinions are real and someone feeling differently about something you liked/disliked isn't a personal attack on you π
I don't give a red or blue fuck about the gameplay but the story is super interesting!
I asked one of my white friends how he ended up not being racist and he just heavy sighed and stared at me. π
Get the juiciest one too!!!
I'm not trying to tell you how YOU feel, of course. Only you know that. :)
Jealousy is much more complex than we give it credit for. It can come from lack, but also fear, emotional neglect, etc. It's often a culmination of underlying feelings waiting to be addressed that can be tough to identify.
We often think of it as "I want what you have" and there's more nuance.
I recognize society has made it taboo to be transparent about jealousy and how we depict it as a moral failing but flat out denying you've ever felt this emotion is harmful.
Not letting your ego drive is essential to understanding yourself fully.
