It was really helpful to hear from experts on Online Safety. I’m working on a proposal for a fresh approach to this, so I find these discussions incredibly helpful!
Time for this week’s round-up! Lots going on and plenty of projects I’ve been supporting & working on 👉🏻
Good news! Cranham Primary School and Cranberries Nursery & Oldbury Park Primary School will be getting Govt funding for new nurseries!
But… I’m also really keen to get Family Hubs (remember SureStart?!) back in Worcester - still more to do!
Here’s my quick round-up this week, as usual there are plenty of projects to support both here in Worcester and in Westminster 👉🏻
It was great to drop in to Mr D’s Old Sweet Shop as they launch their new mint drops, inspired by the aromas of the Malvern Hills! Worcester is so lucky to have so many fantastic independent businesses - they make our city incredibly special!!
It’s been a busy week with lot’s going on in Worcester for Pride In Place Warndon as well as my work in parliament with online safety. Take a look at my video for more updates this week.
Pride in Place puts power in the hands of local people to shape where they live.
If you live in Warndon, get involved. And if you’re passionate about change, consider joining the new neighbourhood board.

It was great to be at the launch of a new green hydrogen project this week! Just like offshore wind, green hydrogen has huge potential - if we crack on and get building! This is a hopeful beginning!!

Worcestershire’s local councils are going to be re-organised. This is our moment to have a say on what happens. Please get involved and do feel free to get in touch if you have questions!

The Family Hubs APPG has been exploring how local authorities can work in partnership with faith organisations (with a detailed look at the Church) to serve communities. It was a really interesting session and well worth catching up on if you missed it! www.familyhubsappg.org.uk
Last night I led an adjournment debate on kinship carers, calling on Ministers to collaborate and work with other departments to find solutions to the challenges kinship carers face & improve the support they receive.
I’m looking forward to following this up with Worcester-based Kinship Carers UK
My latest podcast is out!

Hi Adam,
Yes, I’ve come so close to leaving a good few times, but many organisations have not been as fast moving onto Bluesky (which I see as the main alternative), & I have been keen not to exacerbate echo chambers by walking away - people immersed in this space deserve to hear alternative voices.

Earlier this week I spoke about online safety and how we can build a safe and open internet. I’ll be sharing snippets from my speech over the coming weeks, but if you’re interested in the topic then here it is in full. Buckle up - it’s 22 minutes long!
