We don’t really understand the damage done to basic science (& businesses of the future) by shutting down so much funding so fast. USAID shut down directly caused deaths; the defunding of cancer research etc will cause further deaths and suffering. It’s criminal!
It’s frustrating how so much of our tax money seems to get redirected, especially when we need more investment in vital areas like housing, science, and infrastructure. It's time we start focusing on real priorities!
