Let's say that one wanted to go from 0 to computational social science. With the end goal being to write a real research paper using this approach.
What are the texts and resources that you would suggest to achieve this goal?
UPDATE: The Air Force has reversed its decision to remove courses with videos relating to the legendary Tuskegee Airmen following backlash.
To see so many industries walking back support of DEI initiatives in these times affirms the skepticism I had of their proclamations back in 2020.
At the end of the day, they can always protect themselves from cultural backlash by dropping the programs, but my race can’t be dropped or hidden.
#Rstat folks, I need help: What is the proper package to do GEE regression ?
I use {geepack}, but its a pain: slow, if not ordered does not work, not compatible with broom::tidy, etc.
What is your best option ?

It feels that the longer I do statistics, the harder it becomes. I never get an analysis just "right". There is always one more assumption to change or one more term to add to my model.
I really don’t understand this whole ‘stay on Twitter and fight’ thing. You’re jousting with bots and reply guys and wading through ads it’s not Waterloo.
Might be a good time to read up on the history of science & how it's fundamentally a social process (as it is carried out by humans) & how it's deeply intertwined with power relations. Decades of literature! Will be super helpful when having (yet another) debate about science and politics! 🧪⚕️🛟
BREAKING: President Biden racks up a huge win by finalizing an agreement with a massive semiconductor manufacturer to invest billions of dollars in Arizona facilities.
The $6.6 billion grant agreement was made possible through the historic Chips and Science Act.
Please share to thank Joe Biden!

Analysis of US prescription data (2013-2023) revealed a significant increase in the use of PrEP for HIV prevention. Despite recent availability of oral antivirals and injectable cabotegravir, their uptake remains low. ja.ma/3ACjsy8
We’re talking about mediation in class and SERious Epi released an episode on it today. The universe is on my side! 🙏🏾
