It is a really good time for PM Carney to buy a nice jet I guess. I am sure Lilley would support taxpayer money being spent on that.
While I applaud the notion of city run grocery stores, the City of Ottawa would likely give 2B to SNC to build 2, and they will be closed for repairs almost everyday.
Thanks for saying this. While I am pretty certain that short box truck could have pulled in a lot further, it is frustrating to have little choice when you drive a 21 foot long F250. A Civic can't hold my family, 4 yards of horse manure, and haul 13000 lbs.
If the age of majority for social media is not tied to the provincial or federal age of majority, I propose it be set to the age where they can be trusted to use it responsibly... 100 maybe?
There was a fairly common courtesy for folks who live in rural areas, to call close friends and neighbors before going out "I'm going to town, do you need anything?". Could save people a trip, which currently costs me $27. Won't fix the world, but it could help if more people still did this.
I cannot recommend highly enough that folks either get a ODB2 code reader, or find a friend with one. Typically <$100 at Cdn Tire ($85 today) only need to plug it in, write down the codes, and google to get an idea of what is going on. The bonus is after that, you can reset to see if it returns.
Thanks for reminding people of this - truckers got a bad name from the white trash parade on Wellington, but the actual number was less than 1% of Canadian truck drivers. >300K licensed in Canada, <300 trucks in Ottawa at the peak.
In the beginning, maybe. At the end... the immunity given to members of Unit 731, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731 and to many Nazi's in Operation Paperclip were not the actions of a decent, moral country, it was evil incarnate.
My parents had precious few dollars to spend, but I never went to a scholastic fair without being able to pick a book or two, and my granddaughter will read those very books. It is horrible to imagine a child who wants desperately to read not being able to get a book.
If there is no yelling, I guess you are planning on them having a better record that season too 🤣
this is the only scenario where I would imagine Ford running federally, but I think PM Carney is already pilfering the pool of those who Ford would need to build a "bad, but not that bad" PC party.
Glad to see long-range strike missile investment here as well. For a country with an astronaut in space, and a commercial spaceport, this is a glaring hole in our defence that we should be able to fill domestically.
It sounds like an exaggeration, but it may not be. After recent demands to members to show their worth, Cons are in a mutinous spirit. This is from Peter Mansbridge's show: vt.tiktok.com/ZSHmff6Sw/
Yep...sometimes, you should look a gift horse in the mouth... Let's win byelections and send this one back to the lunatic fringe.
Yep. War would end quickly if they recalibrated to targets 1500km further west, 200km south. Instant peace in the Middle East.
My old eyes may deceive me, but I am fairly certain that is an Intellivision, which I have, not a Colecovision, which I do not. Intellivision was amazing, and my favourite 16-bit. Advanced D&D, Utopia, ground breaking games.
Since PP's message asking people to prove their worth, I have to say this is the very best way to demonstrate your worth 🤣.
I follow shipwreck75, vcdgf555,and osintradar. The information they provide is more often at the detail level rather than aggregate, but if you are looking for accuracy, I have found these infallible.
This is absolutely true, global demand drives prices, and it is why we should be equally (or more) concerned about the fact that ~1/3rd of fertilizer production passes through the SoH. We are exporters of fertilizer, but Canadian farmers will see the same cost increases as global demand rises.
Signed. That this was sponsored by Bruce Fanjoy is... perfection.
Seeing the targets change in response to the actions of US and Israel's attacks has been implying to me that, despite claims to the contrary, command structure and communication is very much intact. These are not disconnected units firing at will at pre-planned targets.
I'm convinced when you click on a profile that posts objectionable content to block them, Bluesky decides that since you clicked on the profile, you must want more like that.
Thanks for reminding people of this. My farm truck gets driven 2 or 3 times a month, maybe twice that in the summer. In ON, where vehicles < 3000kg don't even pay registration, I still pay $265 per year because of the weight.
Why are we even talking about this when the Dow Jones is over 46,000... dollars?
90% of UAE's water is from 70 desalination plants. If I worked in any one of those, I would quit right about now.
