Never felt as much like a colonizer as walking in an African city listening to French pop music.

And that's what I'm saying: it's a problem the DNC needs to actively work on.
So yes, I could follow every individual dem to hear what they say they did right, but that's not really getting the message out. That's lame PR. They need to make an effort to break free from the hardcore echo chamber and get their accomplishments out to the general public.
That's a fair question. Here's the thing though: I don't go looking for what MAGA feels are accomplishments, yet I hear about them every day. They're on the TV, they're all over social media, they're in the news. All without me making an effort. The Dems do not saturate the same way.
Usually just the ones pertaining directly to me, rather than all of them. I don't follow religiously as it exacerbated my mental health problems. Which goes back to my point about messaging not getting out to wider audiences.
I would chalk a lot of this up to messaging. The DNC does a terrible job pushing out stories in their wins. If you deeply follow, you know things. If you're more casual or GOP then you've never heard of any accomplishments.
They throw 50 darts at once and media latches onto 1 to complain about, meanwhile the administration has 49 unspoken avenues of degeneration to follow.
I'm hiring two Post-Doctoral Fellows in International Political Economy/Economic Sociology as part of the ADD project funded by the Velux Foundation. The posts are linked to an AI Sustainability package led by Christina Lioma at KU and me at CBS, drawing insights from comp sci & political economy.
I realize that the Fast and Furious movies are not grounded in reality. But they're still fun to watch.

Haven't had a cinnamon roll since coming to Africa, so today I decided to make up a recipe.

I would really like to see the ability for "citizens referendum" on a national level. If I get X number of signatures on my petition, it MUST be taken to the ballot, and if it passes it MUST be implemented by Congress.
Less than 5 minutes to cast doubt on the integrity of mail in ballots.

Gotta give credit to the builders of this apartment. I've not once heard the neighbors walking around or their TVs. Thick walls/floors.

Bonjour, Frenchsky! I'm trying to learn French and would like to supplement my classwork with immersion. French pop study music is great, but what are some movies or series on Netflix that you would recommend? Either cultural icons or just some good sci-fi/fantasy? #fr #francais
Completely selfishly, I'm glad you did. Now I have something new to ponder. 😀
Awesome! Thank you. I'll check this out after classwork for the day.
I see two different papers, one on Conceptualization and one on Measuring. Which one? I'll check it out!
The problem with trying to learn Kiswahili in Kenya is... they don't speak Kiswahili. They sprinkle it with English, Sheng, and their mother tongue. I ask my friends, "How do you say...?" and they just stare at me, pull out their phones, and search the net in a panic.
