Hi everyone. I'm gonna cancel today's stream, sorry!

I'm utterly exhausted after spending the past week working 12 to 16 hours straight every day on my other projects and I need a day to rest.

I don't wanna force myself to try and stream and not give it my best, you all deserve better than that.

One cool feature in this update is that you can now move the UI inwards and adjust it to better fit your devices in case of screen notches and the like.

You can adjust each side individually however you please!

Someday I will be less of an introvert and talk to all these cool people who do cool things I enjoy

Decided to expand on my current NPC visibility/talk requirement and encounter systems so now I can include a ton more ways to make them appear, give a hint if they're locked, not show them at all, etc.

Encounters rates now are dynamically adjusted based on your progression like quests, etc.

No stream today, sorry folks! I've got a bunch of other work I need to finish up and focus on this weekend!

An emergency update is out to fix issues with the game cache and supporter login!

You might need to run the recovery tool to update the game. This won't affect save files and you simply need to go to tailraise.com/recover on the device you play on, and it'll fix it after a few seconds.

Yeah, I think anyone who owes in the thousands should consider consulting with them to try and save money and see what a professional can do to reduce things that they may not be aware of.

Better to at least try and see instead of just forking over several thousand assuming you did them right.

I wish I had someone to help me fight years of apparent owed taxes when I was in college. They kept trying to say I owed them money. Eventually I just paid it, even though I was broke, and a year later they messaged me to return it saying I never owed them :/

If you're in Canada and you need someone who knows how to file taxes for content creators with Twitch, Ko-Fi, Patreon, and other online platforms, send me a DM and I'll refer you to them.

I get nothing for referring people, but I've been using them for years and they've saved me every year.

Even with the accountant fees and the taxes owed, I'm paying almost 2 THOUSAND LESS than I was going to pay if I did this on my own.

If you're a creator and your taxes are in the thousands, please go see a professional to make sure you don't fuck it up like I was gonna do.

Man, going to an accountant who knows their shit is so worth it.

I spent weeks putting my own taxes together, researching how to file it, what I need to declare, etc.

My estimated owed amount? $2,775 minimum at best

Accountant's number? $373 owed.

Well worth paying them yearly to help me file.

I ran into a weird situation last night where someone complimented my character and then proceeded to get every detail wrong somehow.

Told me my big wings were perfect to wrap around someone.

Told me I'd look good with a collar on.

And so on.

I was so confused lmao

I've been working steadily on this new game update and learning to do more with the engine.

Half this quest is just me trying out new ways to write game logic lol

I might also look at minigame stuff sometime soon. I've got ideas for puzzles to implement.

I can't believe it's been almost a whole year since I first started working on Tailraise.

I've learned a ton along the way and I'm glad so many people have supported me and believed in me so I could make this game happen.

It means a lot <3

I've gotta run a few errands and pick up the rest of my meds today so there won't be a stream. Unfortunately, I have to be an adult with responsibilities instead of a fruit bat today. I'll be back on Wednesday though 🦇💖
