A decent #DoctorWho episode to start the new season. It looked amazing too. I like the notion of a more unwilling companion, because it hasn’t been done for a while. I’m also assuming it’s deliberate to have the robots sounding a lot like the K1 from 4’s debut. Nice touch.

While I’d argue most of the 6th Doctor’s better stories are through Big Finish, I absolutely love Terror of the Vervoids. One of the best stories of 1980s #doctorwho. It’s great fun. @oldsixie.bsky.social and Bonnie Langford are both very good. Pity we never saw more of them together.
Really difficult decision for Goodwin on who starts in defence. Kevin Holt has been one of our best and most consistent players all season but you can’t drop Ross Graham who was superb. Maybe Gallagher drops out?
Yeah he’s just not up to the pace of the higher intensity games. Wants a load of time and is wasteful

Thoroughly enjoyed #thewargamesincolour tonight. Lots of the original was cut out of course but what was left made for a tight 90 mins that flew by. Colorisation from @rtipple.bsky.social was superb and the blatant allusion that the War Chief is the Master (complete with incidental music) was great!
We’ve probably done what we’ve set out to do here so far, but our right hand side feels like it’s fragile although Strain and Fotheringham seemed to grow more confident in the last 5 mins. Always love Miller Thomson’s effort and willingness to get stuck in
Am I the only one interested in hearing what subs the opposition are making at Tannadice? The way they are seemingly deliberately read out in a whisper compared to ours is frustrating
