Aaaaaa this is what I'd always pictured when I thought of Indie in AC.... you did PERF
Player modmission for @indiealpa.ca !
First time doin a special NPC model for one of these!
I wanted to make the most trans coded GBC possible and they just had sparkly buttons with Trans flag on their site
This is the funnyplaying fpgbc! I bought all the parts I needed from their site and assembled it almost like a Lego kit
You can just buy the parts to build a gameboy from scratch
You can ping me on discord @ indiealpaca or the email in my bio!
If it's just an issue with the joycons, I can send you a pair! I've got plenty I've done for reviews on my channel and no one needs this many joycons.
I'm also down to try to repair the ones you've got if you want! I like to tinker with stuff.
What's wrong with it? 0:

I think the size of the gb cart may be a factor too. My GBA carts never have an issue but GBC and GB always crash at the slightest nudge
you know, I'm gonna give points for persistence on getting me to cover your game
This is painful to look at
Don't get me wrong, this is cool in concept but good golly it looks silly in practice
The problem is that it fails at form AND function! It's got the tech to play all these kinds of carts but the slot is so flimsy it might as well not even do it
Elm just reads an email then dissociates
My lil analogue pocket rant is brought to you by my attempts to capture footage on it for a video and its constant crashes throwing a wrench in that.
Also its form factor doesn't evoke joy. Playing it doesn't feel like a gameboy and its ergonomics are wonky.
It's uncomfy, expensive, and doesn't work well with original carts so it's just outclassed by a normal Gameboy Color in most cases
Yeah, it supports cores so you can emulate up to SNES. Cool, I guess, but you can do that with any emulation handheld for way cheaper
If it doesn't work well with original carts, which was its entire selling point, what is the point?
Even when playing Pokemon Crystal, this thing will just crash out of the blue. The cart works fine on a normal GBC or a Chromatic.
It also looks super goofy with a game gear game in because it sticks waaaay out of the system AND can easily be knocked loose
