We use quantitative and qualitative text analysis of Milei's discourse in public appearances and social media, and public opinion data to support our theoretical argument.
In this article, we explain the rise of Javier Milei in Argentina as a case of electoral personalism, based on three types of appeals: self-promotion, salient ideological rhetoric, and moral content.
